I am Joryne Jen Dalaza Vercida, 18 years old; I belong to the community of Purok
4 Barangay Don Mariano Perez Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya near the Public Market. I
was born in this place on August 16, 1996. I am a girl and I belong to the gender of
female and I am proud to be part of it. We have the usual gender the male and the
female. But now we have additional two groups of gender, and we call it the lesbian and
the gay. My religion is Iglesia Ni Cristo, and because of gender, were only allowed to
wear skirts and blouses every time we go to our church.
We have seven populations in my family. My parents and we are five brothers and
sisters. Im lucky because I am the 3rd child. I have two elder brothers and two younger
sisters. My eldest brother is now a married man, and I have two nephews and one niece.
My 2nd elder brother is also studying in Nueva Vizcaya State University, in the group of
Bachelor Science of Computer Science. My two younger sisters is studying in
Bayombong Central School, they are in grade 6 and grade 4 respectively. My father is
working as Security Force at Capitol Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya and my mother
belongs to our community. She is working in our Barangay as Bookkeeper.
For my Education, I graduated my Elementary on 2010 at Bayombong Central
School and in my high school I graduated at Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive
High School on the year 2014.
Now I am a student of the Government School here in our Province. The Nueva
Vizcaya State University taking up Bachelor Science in Business Administration, I am in
my 1st year. In our school we have different Ethnicity, like Ilocano, Ifugao, Igorot,
Tagalog, Gaddang, Isinay and so many more indigenous people, and I am in the group of
Ilocano.
My role inside our house is to help my mother doing household choir, I wake up
early in the morning to cook our breakfast, sweep the floor of our dining area. As a
student my role is to study hard so that I can achieve my dreams.
