    50 million people are affected with arthritis. It is


    estimated that 1 in 2 people will get
    symptomatic knee OA in their lifetime. It is
    estimated that 1 in 2 people will get some form
    of OA in their lifetime.

    Men under age 55 are more likely to have OA than

    women in the same age range. After age 55,

    however, women are more commonly affected.


    Overall, more women have osteoarthritis than men.
