    LOW POWER SCHOTTKY

    The 74LS Series of Bipolar Digital integrated Circuits have been the workhorse of digital circuits for more than two decades and although improved
    alternatives such as the 74ALS and 74HCT Series are also available now, for general medium-frequency designs, the 74LS Series offer the
    advantage of lower cost over the 74ALS Series, and lower power consumption at near maximum operating frequencies over the 74HCT Series.
    Due to lower power consumption of 74HCT circuits at lower frequencies, total Fan-In/Fan-Out compatibility with the 74LS Series and its cost
    competitiveness, a mixed circuit design employing 74HCT devices in lower frequency stages and 74LS components in higher frequency areas
    appears to be the optimum solution.
