    1. Origin Where did the universe and human beings come from?
    2. Meaning What is the meaning or purpose of life?
    3. Morality How do we know what is right and what is wrong?
    4. Destiny What happens to us after we die?

    II. Describing the Function of Apologetics


    A. The First Function was Vindication
    B. The Second Function was Fortification or Defense
    C. The Third Function was Refutation of Opposing Beliefs
    D. The Fourth Function was Persuasion
    III. Decisive Value of Apologetics
    A. It Confronts Sinners with Truth (Acts 19:8-10)
    B. It Confirms Truth In the Heart of the Saved (1 Thess. 5:21)
