**Info:
Baird OneSpark Spectrometer
While other foundry shops in the country maintain spectrometer that can
identify only 20 or 80 metal elements. Baronessas Baird OneSpark
Spectrometer identifies all 108 metal elements. This assures accuracy
and compliance to specifications

Inverted Metallurgical Microscope

Baronessas quality control laboratory is equipped with state of the art

breakthrough technology, including the inverted metallurgical

microscope that analyzed the micro-structure of metals with
unparalleled precision.

Dedicated Melting System

3 dedicated inductotherm induction furnaces ensure unadulterated
cast products. A 0.5-ton capacity furnace melts high alloy steel in 35
minutes. A 1.5-ton capacity furnace melts cast iron in 1 hour. A 1-ton
capacity furnace melts low alloy steel in 45 minutes.

Automated Moulding Operation

featuring the revolutionary rollover draw machine, the highly
mechanized moulding production line of Baronessa, designed by Warill
Engineering of Australia, cuts work hours efficiently. This translates to
appreciable economic benefits for customers.

Annealing Oven
Adding toughness to metal castings, Baronessas programmable
annealing oven has the capacity to heat-treat 10 tons of metal casting,
up to 1600 degrees Celsius.

Process
*Administration

- receives the job order from the customer and approves

the lay-out or draft from the Engineering

*Engineering

- drafts/lay-outs the job order and is in charge for

troubleshooting and maintenance of equipments; also incharge of identifying the kind of material to be used for the
order.
*Pattern shop
- it is where the layout is being materialized with shrinkage
and machining allowances depending on the kind of
material of the final product.
*Foundry
- where the foundry sand is reclaimed, the molder is made,
the casting of metals occurs.
- First, a mold is made based on the pattern using foundry
sand (silica or chromite). Then, the mold is coated by water
or alcohol-based paint, depending on the size and how
intricate the pattern is. Next, the paint is dried through
firing. Sometimes the molds are broken so fixing of the
mold is necessary. Then, the melting of metal is scheduled
based on the orders and delivery dates. Melting of metal
proceeds. The metal temperature is checked from time to
time until it reaches its pouring temperature. Then, it is
poured to the molds. Lastly, it is allowed to cool for a
certain period of time and the sand molds are being
destroyed and reclaimed.
*Quality Control - tests the properties of the sand and tells whether it will
be disposed or reclaimed (for silica)
- calculates and checks the components of the metal in the
furnace
- tests the products before and after machining, heat
treatment
- tests the product before it is delivered
*Joining
- connects or assembles metal parts before delivery
*Machining
- makes sure that the product is in good surface finish and
has the desired dimensions
*Cleaning/Finishing
- makes sure that the product is clean and has
protective coating especially for products which will be
shipped in long distance
*Heat Treatment - improves the properties of metal surface
