THANK YOU ST. JOHNS IN

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR
FIGHT AGAINST WORLD
HUNGER
On Sunday, October 18th, St. Johns was
represented by 35 enthusiastic volunteers
who participated in the MERCY MEALS
PACK AWAY HUNGER DAY held at
Divots DeVent Center. We had a
wonderful time packing 11,400 meals for
hungry children. Thank you for your time
and thank you to the Benefaction Board for
their generous donation used to purchase
supplies for the packaway event.

The St. Johns

Sunday School
Christmas Program
is scheduled for
Saturday, Dec. 12,
@ 5 PM.
We will be
presenting Follow the Star, a 30-min.
musical about why the Magi (Wise Men)
of the Christmas Story sought after
Christ and why we still do today!
We will start rehearsing songs
before Sunday School at 9:15 AM
during November (Nov. 1st, 8th, 15th,
22nd and 29th) and Dec. 6th. We would
also like to have an additional dress
rehearsal on Saturday morning, Dec.
12 from 9-11 AM.

In-Gathering
Volunteers will gather in the lower level
on Monday as St. Johns begins service as
a drop-off destination for LWR. All health,
sewing and school kits along with quilts
from surrounding congregations will arrive
this week and be loaded on the trailer to
continue their trip around the world.
If you would like to help provide snacks
for those working and for guests that help
deliver, or would like to help those
dropping off boxes, please sign up on
todays Registration Slip.
Volunteers will be available Monday
through Thursday, 9am-1pm and Friday
from 9am-4pm.
We can always use extra hands!
