    Guide to Use of Upgrade tool V101

    Preparations
    Note:
    1. This tool is only used on WIN XP SP3 and WIN 7 32/64 bits system.
    2. The path to save this tool should only include the below characters:
    ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdef.xyz
    3. After we install the tools, all of the files should not be deleted.
    4. When you begin to update the software please close the dashboard and all of the software which are
    using the PCUI port and APP port.

    STEP 1:
    Obtain Firmware Version:
    If your modem is: EC122, EC1561 or EC306, you can follow below illustration to Obtain Firmware Version No.
    via opening MBlaze->Tools->Modem Information

    STEP 2:
    Obtain the ports (If the COM is not mapped, you cant run the exe successfully):
    (1) For EC122, EC1561 or EC306 you can follow below illustration to obtain the ports:
    Connect the modem to the computer, make sure that the modem driver is correctly installed and
    distinguished by computer, and the corresponding ports are correctly mapped especially make sure the
    Application Interface and the PCUI Interface are mapped. It means you can find the port by examining device
    manager:

    STEP 3:
    According to the following corresponding relation run the exe file :
    Firmware Version
    11.106.25.01.656
    11.104.04.02.656
    11.102.25.01.656
    11.102.25.02.656

    Exe file
    EC1561-PRL-Update-For_Firmware_Version_11.106.25.01.656.exe
    EC122-PRL-Update-For_Firmware_Version_11.104.04.02.656.exe
    EC306-PRL-Update-For_Firmware_Version_11.102.25.01.656.exe
    EC306-PRL-Update-For_Firmware_Version_11.102.25.02.656.exe

    STEP 4:
    Run the exe file
    (1) Double click the exe, then follow below illustration:

    (2) Click the scan port button marked in the above picture, and then, you will find the interface as
    below, this means the port has been ready.

    (3) After you find it ready then click the start button, wait for several minutes, the picture will show
    as below: (no need manual control in this course)

    (4) When you see the below illustration, this All custom write success means the PRL has been
    updated successfully

    STEP 5:
    At last, click the button Remove and unplug the modem directly.
