The royal family has to make a tour of their kingdom – just to make sure that everything is ok.
Because the kingdom has a 100 villages, they decide to share the work. “I'll make a plan!” says the silly minister Sollu. “Fine!” says the King, “just make sure more than one royal family member doesn't land up at the same village – because if they do, the people there won't have enough arrangements”!
Here is Sollu's plan:
The King starts at village 5. He needs to stop over at every 5th village Okati starts at village 2. She needs to stop over at every 2nd village Rendu starts at village 3. She needs to stop over at every 3rd village
Do you think Sollu's plan will work? Will more than one royal family member ever land up at the same village? Work on the map of the kingdom (each box is a village) and mark all villages where the King, Okati and Rendu will land up (use different colours for each). Then despatch the letter at the end to warn the people. Which village needs to be warned first?
