Middle School
Weekly Publication for Middle School Parents ISSUE # 08
WEEK OF SEPT. 27 TO OCT. 01, 2010

From the Middle School Office

Dear Parents:

As the students return from their Classroom Without Walls (CWW) teambuilding trips, we
hope they have forged some new friendships and developed a deeper awareness of how
they can contribute to building a stronger sense of belonging among their peers and a
sense of community within the grade level. Please take some time to engage your child
and discuss ways that your child can build on the experience. We thank all the teachers
for their dedication and efforts to provide a range of enriching experiences for the
students. As we continue with the school year, rest assured that the experiences and
memories will be kept alive and built upon through the Homebase program.

Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing continues this week until October 6. Please
continue reading the bulletin for additional information which has been detailed in a
separate announcement and encourage your child to get a good night’s rest and eat a
healthy breakfast.

On Thursday, September 30 starting at 7:45 A.M. there will be a Parent Coffee in the MS
Faculty Area. Some of the topics that will be covered include feedback from the Freedom
from Chemical Dependency (FCD) visit and an overview of MAP testing. We hope you will
be able to join us.
