Indian IT industry.

categories regarding the registration.
 To observe 4p’s of marketing regarding the webportal.
 To explore current issues and challenges at the time of
registration.

Methodology:-
The methodology employed was:
 Questionnaire
 Interview.

The questionnaire method was a survey that contained


both open ended close ended questions.
The interview that was conducted was both structured and
unstructured. It was formal and informal both according to
the requirement of the situation.

 To Extend the study considering all the department of

 To conduct similar research work in other web portal
companies to get a cooperative study.
INTRODUCTION:
1.1 General Introduction of the topic
In the present scenario the number of schools and colleges has been
increasing day by day in our country. From the sprouting of the children
the parents are busy for searching schools for their child. Their mind is
filling up with dreams for their child. Not only this after completion of
madhyamik, higher secondary, and graduation the students and parents
are busy for searching their preference institutes. They find in the
institutes which are good, the teachers and the other staff take care of
the child so that the child is developed in mentally and other
development. The madhyamik to graduation students finds well
educated teacher and teaching methodology to those institutes, this is the
crucial stage for the parents for their child. The first stage of finding a
good institute is they ask their friends, colleagues, neighbors and
sometimes unknown persons. Sometimes they visit directly to their
preference institutes and ask to the students and their parents. They are
usually influenced by the advertisement shown in TV, outlets, and also in
the roadside there are big hoarding obviously attract to the people.
Sometimes effective advertisement directly hit to the mind of the people
and change the thinking process of the people. Sometimes they are
influenced by the local touts effective in various states of our country.
Sometimes they feel helpless. To avoid all of these some of the people
search in the internet for their preference institutes and other relevant
information. My work is to find out the willingness of the people whether
they use internet or other medium viz. radio, TV, advertisement, print
media, magazine, visual media, and news channel to find out their
preference institutes.

with the aim of addressing IT industry's graphical communication &
development needs. The company brought with it an expertise of more than 4
years in understanding and applying communication and graphical skills as
well as development of software skills to IT projects and products. With
technologies evolving and changing at a phenomenal rate, the software
industry by and large has not been able to adequately address the important
concerns of communication. Added to this the very technical and engineering
mindset that drove the project and product development, the users' social,
psychological, and experiential concerns have often not been adequately
addressed. Assurance Info Management Pvt. Ltd. felt there was an immediate
need to bring in graphical and user communication skills to bear upon IT
products and projects. Today, Assurance Info Management Pvt. Ltd. has fully
qualified graphic designers and communication experts dealing with a wide
variety of IT related such as Graphical User Interface (GUI) design, design of
Product Tutorials, Computer Based Training materials (CBTs), WEB Based
Training materials (WBTs), On-screen Product graphics, Print, design and
multimedia. Straddling the two domains of technology and creative
communication- Assurance Info Management Pvt. Ltd. is committed to
provide excellence, quality, customer care and professionalism. Our aim is to
grow into a strong and multidisciplinary force that is able to address a wide

Myeducation.in is an informative web portal that facilitates users to search about


various information of universities, colleges, institutes and schools of different
states in all over India and the courses conducted by them.
1.2 -Objective of the study:-
 To analyze the attitude of potential customers or prospects.
 To identify issues and challenges of the moment.
 To explore how many customers having their websites are interested in
web portal.
 To understand the type of institutes who will be future prospects of web
portal.
 To find out how many institutes require publicity and they are interested
in web portal.
 To analyze area wise survey results.

Methodology :

During the time of the project some certain methodology is being followed. This section of the
survey put emphasis on the procedure that has been followed during the research study. This
facilities to understand the project work easily and clearly. The methodology has been used as
follows :

5. Defining problem and research design
6. Developed the research plan

Research design used


There are three research types of research design. These classifications are made
according to the objective of the research. In some cases the research will fall into
one of these categories, but in other cases different phases of the same research
project will fall into different categories.

Exploratory research has the goal of formulating problems more


precisely, clarifying concepts, gathering explanations, gaining insight,
eliminating impractical ideas, and forming hypotheses. Exploratory
research can be performed using literature search, surveying certain
people about their experiences, focus groups and case studies. When
surveying people, exploratory research studies would not try to acquire a
representative sample, but rather, seek to interview those who are
knowledgeable and who might be able to provide insight concerning the
relationship among variables. Case studies can include contrasting
situations or benchmarking against an organization known for its
excellence. Exploratory research may develop hypotheses, but it does not
seek to test them. Exploratory research is characterized by its flexibility.
Descriptive research is more rigid than exploratory and seeks to
describe users of a product, determine the proportion of the population
that uses a product, or predict future demand for a product. As opposed
to exploratory research, descriptive research should define questions,
people surveyed, and method of analysis prior to beginning data
collection. In other words, the who, what, where, when, why, and how
aspects of the research should be defined. Such preparation allows one
the opportunity to make any required changes before the costly process
of data collection has begun.
There are two basic types of descriptive research; longitudinal studies
and cross sectional studies. Longitudinal studies are time series analysis
that makes repeated measurements of the same individuals, thus allowing
o ne to monitor behaviour such as brand-switching. However, studies are
not necessarily representative since many people may refuse to
participate because of the commitment required. Cross-sectional studies
sample the population to make measurement a specific point in time. A
special type of cross-sectional analysis is a cohort analysis, which tracks
an aggregate of individuals who experience the same event within the
same time interval. Cohort analyses are useful for long-term forecasting
product demand.
Causal research seeks to find cause and effect relationship between
variables. It accomplishes this goal through laboratory and field
experiments.

The sampling procedure :

The basic task of researcher is to decide on the sampling unit to be chosen which a crucial
judgment. The following questionnaire is to be answered.

In this technique, each sampling technique has a known probability of being include
in the sample. Here we used simple random sampling.

From the above table we can analyze that the first row suggest that
14.2% institutions who have their own website and also they are
interested in our website called myeducations.in to show their institute
name in our webportal.This is one kind of issues that we have. Here the
challenges lies in the fact to increase the percentage of institutions
because the percentage is not very up to the mark.
The second row suggest that 11% of institutions who don’t have their
website and who are interested in our website.This is another kind of
issues that we have.As the institutes don’t have their website they are
not concerned about the website.They even don’t know what the website
is all about.In this case we should let them know first what is the
utility of the internet searching.After knowing the internet they can
understand that the use of the website, in other words they can utilize
what is advantageous of using the website.After they know the utility of
the website the task which is to convince them for registration becomes
quite easy.We can all say that the second row is in shaded portion
where the task is not very much difficult.
The third row suggest that 41% of the institutions who have their own
website and as a result they are not interested in our website.This is the

issue.Here the challenge is to convince them for registration.As the


institutions have their own website and they have the good reputation
among students they don’t require the outside website.In this case it is

From the above table we can analyze that 11% high schools are
interested for registration in our web portal, 7% of colleges are
interested, 7% again business schools are interested, and 9% primary
schools are interested for registration.
Now if we consider non-interested table 44% high schools are having no
interest in doing registration. Again 7% colleges are not interested, 11%
business schools are not interested, and 30% primary schools are not
interested for registration.
