GROUP ASSIGNMENT –CLASS PROJECT (QM)


Last Date of Submission: 23rd October, 2010

Select a company traded on NSE, one company on BSE and the do the
following

 Record daily closing stock price of each of these companies for three
consecutive weeks (so that you have 15 observations per company)

 Record daily changes in the closing stock price of each of the these
companies for three consecutive weeks

 For each of your three data sets, decide whether the data appears to be
approximately normally distributed by

1. Constructing a normal probability plot


2. Evaluating actual versus theoretical properties
