Cara install aplikasi di linux
1. Update system : # sudo apt-get update
2. Install wine (software emulator for aplikasi windows) : # sudo apt-get install wine
3. Install Playonlinux software emulator for aplikasi windows)

# sudo wget http://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_lucid.list -O
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
# sudo apt-get update
# sudo apt-get install playonlinux
4. Install geany (bahasa pemrograman pascal, C dll ) : # sudo apt-get install geany
5. Install bluefish (pemrograman PHP) : # sudo apt-get install bluefish
6. Install server :
- webserver : # sudo apt-get install apache2
- Database server : # sudo apt-get install mysql-server
- PHP untuk apache : # sudo apt-get install php5
- Mysql untuk Apache : # sudo apt-get install libapache-mod-acct-mysql
: # sudo apt-get install php5-mysql
- Phpmyadmin : # sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin
7. Install Remastersys
Tambahkan di sources.list
# Remastersys
deb http://www.geekconnection.org/remastersys/repository karmic/

After adding the following to your /etc/apt/sources.list you can "sudo apt-get update" and then "sudo
apt-get install remastersys" for remastersys backup or "sudo apt-get install mintmenu" for the
debranded mintmenu.
8. Install swf player

# sudo apt-get install swfdec-mozilla
9. Cara isntall inkscape ( Pengganti corel )

# sudo apt-get install inkscape
10. Install google crhome

First you need edit /etc/apt/sources.list file
gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Add the following two lines for Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) Users
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
For ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) Users add the following two lines
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
For ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) Users add the following two lines
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu lucid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu lucid main
save and exit the file

Now add the GPG key using the following command
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com

or For karmic users use the following command
sudo add-apt-key ppa:chromium-daily/ppa
Update source list

sudo apt-get update
Install chromium browser using the following command

sudo apt-get install chromium-browser
11. Install netbean uml

Teman-teman seperjuangan kok pada kebingungan Install Plugins UML NetBeansIDE 6.8, Pas saya
coba ternyata memang benar tidak keluar secara langsung di available plugins nya untuk download
UML plugins. ya langsung saja :
Setelah Install NetBeansIDE 6.8,
Jalankan NetBeansIDE 6.8, Buka Tools menu \ PLUG-INS.
Buka Settings tab.
click ADD.
enter the provider name (UML)
di dalam form URL, copy dan paste alamat di bawah ini :
http://ea.ddns.com.br:8090/netbeans6.8/UML/catalog.xml
click OK
Pastikan Plugins UML ada di list available plug-ins.

Sekarang install plugin nya, dan RESET NetBeansIDE 6.8.
OBS. The PLUG-IN MUST BE ACTIVATED FOR USE.
(to activate the plug-in, go to Tools menu \ PLUG-INS \ INSTALL, ACTIVATE

Ada juga beberapa trik dari dosen saya tapi saya tidak ambil tutorialnya, yang intinya dari UML
plugins Netbeans 6.7 di dalam folder C:\document and settings\user\.netbeans\UML.
bisa di copy paste ke dalam folder yang sama ketika Install program Netbeans 6.8 (no Upgrade)

. Uninstall Ooo 2.4 di PC Anda dengan perintah di Console :
sudo apt-get --purge remove openoffice.org-core
. Download Ooo 3
wget http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/Office/OpenOffice.org/stable/3.0.1/OOo_3.0.1_LinuxIntel_install_en-
US_deb.tar.gz
. Setelah selesai melakukan Download Ooo 3, kemudian lakukan Ektrak file tar.gz tersebut
tar -xvmf OOo_3.0.1_Linux*_install_*_deb.tar.gz
. Masuk ke direktori cd OOO300_m15_native_*/DEBS/ kemudian ketikkan
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
. Setelah proses installasi selesai, kemudian masuk pada direktori cd desktop-integration/ untuk
melakukan install shortcut Ooo 3 dengan perintah
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
Ooo 3 sudah bisa Anda nikmati.

. Install Gnome Panel

- sudo apt-get install gnome-panel
12. Cara install OpenShot

. Buka terminal, kemudian tambahkan PPA openshot di source list anda dengan perintah
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonoomph/openshot-edge
. Update source list anda dengan perintah
sudo apt-get update
. Install OpenShot dengan perintah
sudo apt-get install openshot
. Jika proses instalasi sudah selesai untuk memulai menggunakan OpenShot, klik menu Applications –
Sound & Video – OpenShot Video editor
13. Voip
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoirfairelinux
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install sflphone-client-gnome
14. Virtualbox
sudo add-apt-repository "deb
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian lucid non-free"
wget -q
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O-
| sudo apt-key add -
#sudo apt-get update

#sudo apt-get install virtualbox-3.2
