PATIENT DESIRED GOALS Pt will not develop complications of immobility Pt will demonstrate use of adaptive devices to increase mobility 2-3 days per week Pt will increase strength and evidence of lower limbs within 3-4 days

NURSING INTERVENTIONS

RATIONALE

EVALUATIONS

Position pt in proper alignment and reposition q 2hrs Teach proper use/function of adaptive equipment

Will not have complications due to immobility Mobility aids can increase level of mobility

Pt has developed increased mobility and use of adaptive equipment. Pt has had no complications.

Teach pt to use active ROM exercise as ordered by physician q 1 hr to leg

Teaching pt AROM will increase circulation to leg and increase mobility
