OBJECTIVE EDUCATION To obtain a position as a designer KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY Manhattan, Kansas Dual Major in Apparel and Textiles Design and Apparel and Textiles Marketing, May 2013 Minor: Business HIGHLIGHT OF SKILLS -Very outgoing, honest, ethical -Works best under pressure both independently and in groups -Extremely productive -Passionate about sustainability in apparel -Driven to succeed in all situations
HONORS AND -Spring of 2012 I received 3 awards in an undergraduate cotton fashion show: The program received a grant from Cotton Inc., PCCA, and Lee Jeans. I received a paid internship with Lee Jeans and $500 for the Most Outstanding Design. My 100% cotton collection received first place with an $800 prize. The final award I received was the grand prize for best collection over all the categories. My prize was a PGM formal dress-form. -Apparel & Textiles Student Ambassador: Spring 2011-Present. It is my responsibility that prospective students and their families feel welcome at KSU. I talk to them about the curriculum, student life, clubs, recent activities, etc. My goal is to make the prospective student just as positive about my program as I am, and become apart of the program. -2012 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market: I was able to join a recent graduate of KSU as a guest to Project OR. If my peer was unable to attend I was first alternate to apply to the competition for my undergraduate class. I spent much of my time learning about the retailers at the market, and building my knowledge of the outdoor industry and all that it entails. -GPA: 3.338 -2009 Pledge Class of Delta Delta Delta: I lived in the house for one year and held to small offices. I was in charge of organizing house tasks to answer to door and prepare the kitchen for the day.
