Foreword WiT
Welcome to the 3rd year of the Everybody's Reading Festival! This years festival will run from 29th September 8th October 2012 and will take place all across Leicester City. There are a vast range of events and we are sure you will nd something to tickle your fancy! However, before we get started here are a few words about our sponsors..... Whatever it Takes...to get every child in Leicester reading. Whatever it Takes is a long-term ambitious attempt to raise the pro le of reading and is under-pinned by Leicesters reading pledge we will do whatever it takes to get every child in Leicester reading' The initiative is made up of a diverse set of projects and events, which range from grants to support exciting and innovative work within schools to author workshops for over 4000 children. The initiative is chaired by Liz Warren (Strategic Lead for City Primary Heads) and Bill Morris (Director of Education in Partnership) and works in partnership with organisations across the city. Co chair Bill Morris says the initiative is bigger than just one organisation and to succeed we will continue to need the support from the entire community of Leicester. We are proud to support the Everybodys Reading Festival and we are sure this year will be the most exciting of all! For more information about Whatever it Takes visit www.whatever-it-takes.org.uk or contact Ellen.Lee@sdsa.net.
With thanks:
The festival is also brought to you by the National Union of Teachers, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, WORD! Leicester City Council and School Development Support Agency.
