What better time for "Pizza and Politics" than a week after a presidential election? We hope you'll be able to join us on Wednesday (November 14) at 5:30pm in the Holmes Multipurpose Room for a discussion of "What Just Happened?", led by Dr. Jeff Fine of the Department of Political Science. There will be no shortage of discussion topics. What accounted for President Obama's victory in the face of nearly 8% unemployment and subpar economic growth? Can the Republican Party recover from its extraordinarily poor performance among women, Hispanic, and African American voters? What do the election results mean for negotiations over the imminent "fiscal cliff," or for longer range questions of health policy, immigration, taxation, and spending? Hurry--this is your last chance to attend "Pizza and Politics" until the beginning of the 2016 campaign, or the Spring semester, whichever comes first.
