FURTHER INFORMATION

ADDITION OF ANTIOXIDANT MASTERBATCH IN VIRGIN MATERIAL INCREASES THE OXIDATION INDUCTION TIME (OIT) VALUE WHICH IS AN INDICATION OF TIME TAKEN FOR PLASTICS TO START DEGRADATION. DURING PROCESSING OF PLASTICS ADDITION OF ANTIOXIDANT MASTERBATCH HELPS IN RETAINING THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE END APPLICATION WHICH WOULD OTHERWISE DETERIORATE. IN ACTING OIT 40MIN/MINS.

FOR STABILITY MORE THAN 4 - 5 YEARS USER IS ADVISED TO USE MASTERBATCHES IN COMBINATION WITH ANOTHER PHENOL TYPE UV STABILIZER. FOR SPECIFIC PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

PRODUCT

DESCRIPTION

MASTERBATCH BASED ON HIGHLY PURE ERUCAMIDE SLIP ADDITIVE.

MASTERBATCH CONTAINS THIRD GENERATION SORBITOL DERIVATIVE NUCLEATING AGENT PP 10% NUCLEATING AGENT ENHANCES THE CLARITY OF POLYPROPYLENE PRODUCTS.

CARRIER RESIN % OF ACTIVE INGREDIENT EFFECT OF MASTERBATCH

PE 10% REDUCES COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION OF PE FILM MAKING THE FILM SURFACE VERY SMOOTH.

APPLICATIONS

LDPE, LLDPE FILMS TO BE USED ON FFS MACHINES

POLYPROPYLENE BASED END PRODUCTS SUCH AS DISPOSABLE SYRINGES, FILMS, CONTAINERS, BUCKETS, JUGS, BOTTLES, ETC.

LET DOWN RATIO

0.5% TO 1.5%

1% TO 2% RANDOM PPCP REQUIRES MINIMUM QUANTITY. PP HOMOPOLYMER REQUIRES MORE QUANTITY. THICKER PRODUCTS REQUIRE MORE QUANTITY. NUCLEATING AGENTS PROVIDE LARGE NUMBER OF NUCLEATING SITES WHICH RESULTS IN FORMATION OF MANY SMALL SIZE SPHERULITES INCREASING CLARITY BY TRANSMISSION OF MORE LIGHT. DURING INJECTION MOULDING, CYCLE TIME CAN BE REDUCED BY REDUCING COOLING TIME. PP CONTAINING ABOVE NUCLEATING AGENT IS RECOMMENDED TO BE PROCESSED AT A MELT TEMPERATURE OF 230 - 240 0 C AND WITH MAXIMUM BACK PRESSURE IN THE INJECTION MOULDING MACHINE. OTHER ADVANTAGES OF NUCLEATING AGENT -STIFFNESS IMPROVEMENT -IMPROVEMENT IN STRESS CRACK RESISTANCE.

FURTHER

INFORMATION

ERUCAMIDE IS PREFFERED OVER OLEAMIDE SLIP ADDITIVE BECAUSE A) SLOW MIGRATING HENCE DOES NOT AFFECT SUBSEQUENT PRINTING AND SEALING OPERATIONS. B) LOW VOLATILITY HENCE LOW AMIDE LOSS DURING PROCESSING, CAN WITHSTAND HIGHER PROCESSING TEMPERATURES. C) DOES NOT AFFECT BOND STRENGTH WHEN USED IN MULITLAYER LAMINATION FILM IN ONE OF THE LAYERS.

DURING START-UP 1.5% FOR FIRST 30 MINUTES TILL THE MELT FRACTURE IS ELIMINATED IN FILMS, DRIP LATERALS, ETC. AFTERWARDS 0.5% TO 0.7% OTHER ADVANTAGES OF POLYMER PROCESSING AID MASTERBATCH WHEN INCORPORATED ARE 1) REDUCES DIE LIP BUILD UP 2) REDUCES PROCESSING TEMPERATURE 3) I N C R E A S E S THROUGHPUT 4) THE USE OF NARROW D I E GAP RESULTS IN A MORE STABLE BUBBLE A N D TOUGHER FILM BECAUSE OF FASTER COOLING.

3% TO 5% IN PE MOULDED ARTICLES. 2% TO 4% IN PE FILM. 5% TO 15% IN PE FOAM SHEETS, PIPES, FILMS AS STABILIZING AGENT.
STATIC ELECTRICITY WHICH IS GENERATED DURING HIGH SPEED PROCESSING OF PLASTICS CAN CAUSE A) DUST ACCUMULATION ON PLASTICS END PRODUCT. B) ELECTRONIC STATIC DISCHARGE (ESD) DAMAGING ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENTS BEING PACKED WITH SUCH PLASTIC ITEMS. C) FIRE AND / OR EXPLOSION. IN PE FOAM FILMS, SHEETS, PIPES, THE ADDITIVE LEVEL DEPENDS UPON DENSITY OF FOAM. LOWER DENSITY FOAM REQUIRE HIGHER DOSAGE OF ANTISTATIC AGENT MASTERBATCH TO STABILIZE THE WEAK FOAMED CELL STRUCTURE. OPTIMUM ANTISTATIC EFFECT IS OBTAINED IF RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS ABOVE 45%

1) OPTICAL BRIGHTNER IS EFFECTIVE NOT ONLY IN WHITES BUT CAN GIVE IMPROVEMENTS IN NATURAL PRODUCT & BLACKS. 2) DEPENDING UPON THE THICKNESS OF THE ARTICLE, ADDITION LEVELS MAY VARY. FOR HIGHER THICKNESS OF PRODUCT LESSER LOADING OF OPTICAL BRIGHTNER IS RECOMMENDED.

BLOCKING TENDENCY IS MOST COMMONLY OBSERVED IN PRODUCTION OF THIN LDPE, LLDPE FILMS AT HIGHER PROCESSING TEMPERATURES AND DUE TO HIGH WINDING TENSIONS. BLOCKING TENDENCY INCREASES WITH CORONA TREATMENT OF THESE FILMS. WE ARE ALSO HAVING SLIP + ANTIBLOCK COMBINATION MB PRODUCT CODE SLIP + ANTIBLOCK 02
