    Apollo 18

    Submitted by: Angelique Rae J. Almonte 1) Character description Apollo 18 mission is a top secret Department of Defense. There are three specific people that were launched toward the Moon in order to deploy a series of transmitters designed to intercept Soviet signals and they are Commander Nathan Walker, Command Module Pilot Lieutenant Colonel John Grey, and Lunar Module Pilot Captain Benjamin Anderson. They really suffered from great mysteries, unusual situations, sudden attack and infection of unknown creatures in Moon and such events that really changed their lives. Just like what happened to each one of them: Commander Nathan Walker is outside of their spacecraft to find inspect the damage that their spacecraft had and to look on some extraterrestrial evidences of non-human tracts at the site when he just felt something moving inside his spacesuit and is horrified as a spider-like creature crawls across the inside of his helmet. Walker disappears from view. Lunar Module Pilot Captain Benjamin Anderson experience fear when the psychotic Nathan Walker attacked him, by that moment, Nathan is already affected and theres no cure at all to be given to him. He was also attacked by a swarm of the creatures. Module Pilot Lieutenant Colonel John Grey was unable to return to Earth for hes with Anderson in the other spacecraft where in Anderson is attacked and infected by the creatures, preventing him from controlling the vehicle, leaving it headed uncontrolled which means they both died inside that vehicle.     2) Is there a big possibility that this thing really occurred? After all the speculations that Ive watched and all the stories that was unfold, maybe there will be a big possibility that just like those things that was shown in the movie could be true for some aspects. For my viewpoint, I found the footage movies arent about believable acting or relatable character interactions; theyre just about captivating tension and scary tactics which made me think that its just like Paranormal Activity. Scripted as it is, and just made for the entertainment of all. But I still find myself believing that there are some extraterrestrial creatures happened to live in the Moon, I just know that I believe that were not just the creatures living here in this huge and vague universe. 3) What are some scientific principles that govern the movie?

    As I can remember, the movie showed many false situations against some scientific principles. I couldnt even state one scientific principle that was governed in the movie. But I would just like to share my knowledge about what I saw wrong or mistakes in the movie. At first, there are no bouncy astronauts playing like kangaroos in the light gravity of the moon. Secondly, I could hear the scuttling sound on the surface of the moon. It supposed to be there should be no sound because it is in a vacuum. And lastly, how the producers of the movie got the videos or the paraphernalia of the movie? If its a top secret mission of one of the department in USA, why should it be shown to public instead of keeping it as a top-secret documentation? 4) Site some examples in the movie with no scientific basis. I could give many examples in the movie that is definitely no scientific basis, like the frequent light malfunctioning in the spacecraft, another is the moon rock that suddenly taken from someones stomach who was just bitten by a spider-like creature. And lastly, speaking of moon rock, why it causes a person to act like psychotic and paranoid and was able to produced small alien or extraterrestrial beings whenever the person that was been affected will burst. Does it serve as a medium for the aliens to propagate and to grow more in numbers?
