Ipil has an established sports complex and other facilities that require some renovations to host the major athletic event. The town aims to improve its infrastructure to support future sporting events. Ipil is the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay province and is a growing town with over 63,000 residents from diverse ethnic backgrounds. It has a developing economy based around agriculture, fishing, business and government employment.

Defying odds and raising with time, the fearless leadership, initiative and assistance of the Provincial especially the municipal Government to the DepEd officials ,administrators,teachers and athletes ,a colossal action will take place to make the ZSPAAM 2012 a success in a short amount of time. The advantage of having the experience to host such major events already armed with the IPIL SPORTS Complex,and other locations for the different events of the athletes, Ipil District,requires few major renovations,adjustments and lots of preparations and resourcefulness to ensure an effective and efficient running of the meet , ready to solve glitches. There will be more projects to improve the IPIL SPORTS COMPLEX and other locations to cater the various sporting events in the future. For now ,it will give the best it can offer. First ...by giving you a glimpse of Ipil... Ipil Of The Second District Is The Capital Of Zamboanga Sibugay Province.From the IPIL-IPIL tree that once towered in the landscape ,Ipil got its name. Ipil,classified as a first class municipality income wise,and a promise of becoming a city one day,Has Twenty-Eight Barangays , An Estimated Population as of 2010 of 63,786 People In 12,514 Households of predominantly Roman Catholics and Muslims and other religious organizations.The Progressive Town Is Still Growing Day By Day adding to Ethnic and Indigenous tribes of Tausugs,Maranaos,Maguindanaos,Kalibugans,Subanens and the first settlers of Ilocano,Illongo and Cebuanos are investors and other people from abroad,nearby towns and other parts of the country to invest,look for jobs or just simply settling down,bringing their families and starting a new life.

The agricultural geography are mostly rice or corn fields,rubber trees and coconuts. Some parts are thriving fishponds and the coastal areas are the source of income for fishermen and agar-agar farmers. While they make use of the agricultural landscape ,other Ipileos choose business ventures or work as a government employee.

Already equipped with four hospitals, a developing airport, telephone and internet centers ,Ipil is ready to serve the towns folks and its visitors.Several radio stations,television channels and Newspapers (Sibugay Express and Zamboanga Sibugay TRIBUNE) are also operating in the area providing entertainment and news to ipileos. The Poblacion is an evidence that Ipil is a buzzing town, with busy streets and new infrastructures such as banks and lending institutions are rising in the towns vicinity addressing the economic necessities of the people.The educational development is also evident as Schools from preschool to college both private and public are being established.

The town of Ipil will continue to advance ,if its leaders and townspeople will own an authentic concern in achieving peace through unity and attaining progress by setting aside the differences and widening their understanding. With its motto "Ipil: our place, our responsibility, our pride!" thy will be done by being responsible and the cooperation of every Ipileos. With smiling hearts and faces and arms open wide, to each and everyone... WELCOME TO IPIL!
