As school lets out for the summer, it's important to celebrate the accomplishments that have occurred academically and beyond. In addition, the start of summer offers a terrific opportunity to tend to priorities that may have fallen to the "back burner" over the school year. (Re)Invest in positive relationships- Relationships deserve consistent attention to remain healthy, happy and satisfying. Honest and thoughtful communications can lead to thriving relationships with friends, family members, and significant others. Who are you due to call or write? (Re)Engage in a hobby- Interested in painting, auto mechanics, or gardening? Summer offers a great opportunity to try out, or work on developing, a specific sport, craft, outdoor activity or other stimulating interest. Give back- Make service a priority for you and your family. Plan to help out at a one-time event, or consider giving weekly to meet a local need. Visit ERYC's website for a list of member agencies, volunteer needs, and a Resource Directory for ideas on local agencies in need.
