ABOUT BONDERMAN
Making his sixth start this season and the 213th appearance (199th start) of his career.
Selected in the first round of the June 2001 (26th
overall) draft by Oakland...is the only high school junior ever to be drafted in the first round.
Traded by Oakland to Detroit on Aug. 22, 2002 as the
PTBNL in the July 6 trade between the two clubs.
Earned a spot in the Tigers rotation during Spring
Training after pitching at Single-A level in his only other professional
experience.
Made quick rise to the Major Leagues, making only 27 minor league
appearances before arriving in the Majors.
Made his Major League debut as a 20-year-old on April 2, 2003 vs.
MIN (L, 4.0,9,6,6,1,5,HR)...earned his first ML win 4/23/03 at OAK

In 2006, was a key factor in the Tigers World Series run, going 14-8
