Henry or comparison of the short story The Ransom of Red Chief with the filmed version. Parent permission required for the second opportunity. Identify and analyze suspense Bellwork: Journal Presentations Unit 1 Post Assessment: Plot and Conflict Comprehension questions questions 1-20 Short Answer questions 21-22 Extended Response - question 23 Latin roots questions 24-31 Note: The post-assessment will assess student understanding in the following categories: plot, conflict, sequence, cause and effect, prediction, chronological order, compare and contrast, roots, and diction. 80% and above in a category equals proficiency and mastery. Below 80% equals non-proficient. Student data will be analyzed to measure individual and class growth and mastery, as well as gaps in individual and class proficiency. Instruction will be adjusted accordingly.
