Tour Overview:
Experience a country rich in culture and history on our sell out China Discovery Tour. Over 15 days you will have a chance to immerse yourself in the traditional and modern way of life in China while taking in an array of significant sites along the way. You will walk part of The Great Wall of China, see the Terracotta Warriors and learn how the locals make the porcelain terra-cotta figures, the same way that ancestors made the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses for the Qin Shi Huangs Tomb. Explore Hangzhou, a city which has been described by Marco Polo as the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world. Whilst in Beijing you will have a chance to discover The Summer Palace, the largest ancient preserved garden in China. ITINERARY
Day 01: 10 Apr: BrisbaneQGuangzhou (D) CZ382, 10 Apr. Brisbane Guangzhou 0955/1700 Depart Brisbane to Guangzhou (Canton) in the morning on China Southern Airlines. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to a local restaurant for a welcoming dinner. Stay overnight in Guangzhou. Day 02: 11 Apr: Guangzhou (B.L.D) After breakfast enjoy the morning at leisure and explore Guangzhou. The city with a history of more than two thousand years, many important trading ports historical sites and revolutionary monuments. This afternoon enjoy a city tour were you will visit Dr. Sun Yat Sens Memorial Hall and the Chen Family Memorial Temple. After your afternoon of touring enjoy a scrumptious BBQ buffet dinner at Baxi Sunshine Restaurant. You will stay overnight in Guangzhou. Day 03: 12 Apr: Guangzhou Xian (B.L.D) CZ3219, 12 Apr. Guangzhou Xian, 0920/1145 This morning we will fly to Xian , the first Chinese city to open up its doors to the ancient world during the Tang Dynasty as the first stop on the Silk Road. Upon arrival, we will be meet by our local guide and transferred to the Large Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of the city. Visit the Bell Tower and the Ancient City Wall, which is not only the most complete city wall that has survived in China, but is also one of the largest and most complete ancient military defence systems in the world. This evening experience the Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show. Day 04: 13 Apr: Xian (B.L.D) Today our local guide will take us to visit the Porcelain Terra Cotta Warriors Factory. Here we will see how the locals make the porcelain terra-cotta figures, the same way, that the old generation used to make the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses for the Qin Shi Huangs Tomb. We will then continue on to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, the attached defending army to the first emperor of China, regarded as the eighth wonder of the world and among the top archaeological excavations

of the 20th century. Also included today is a visit to Shaanxi Historical Museum. Tonight enjoy a buffet dinner in Sunda Gentleman International Hotel. Day 05: 14 Apr: Xian Shanghai (B.L.D) CZ6438, 14 Apr. Xian Shanghai 1050/1310 After breakfast spend the morning at lesisure until we transfer to the airport for our flight to Shanghai, the financial centre of China. Upon arrival we will visit Pudong newly developed area including the Oriental Pearl Tower (second floor). We will also visit Xingtiandi, an urban tourist attraction created by converting residential blocks into multifunctional dining, retail and entertainment centre flowing with restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars of an international standard. Stay overnight in Shanghai. Day 06: 15 Apr: Shanghai Hangzhou (B.L.D.) Today we will travel to Hangzhou by coach, a city rich in history and culture. Upon arrival we will take a boat cruise on the magnificent West Lake, the symbol of the city and also visit the Yellow Dragon Cave were you can taste the well -known Dragon Well Tea at the No.1 tea plantation. Day 07:16 Apr: Hangzhou Wuzhen Suzhou (B.L.D) After breakfast we will drive to Wuzhen, a quiet Water Town with 1300 years history before arriving in Suzhou. Known as Venice of the East, Suzhou is built around Grand Canal. The citys many excellent classical gardens have made Suzhou the Garden City. Todays tours will include a visit to a silk factory Tonight, enjoy a Western dinner in Suzhou in Yuan Rong Era Plaza while watching a movie. Stay overnight in Suzhou. Day 08: 17 Apr: Suzhou Shanghai (B.L.D.) Our sightseeing today includes the Tiger Hill and Garden of the Master of the Nets. Afterwards we will travel by coach to Shanghai, the largest commercial and financial center of China. Enjoy an exciting acrobatic show in the evening. Stay overnight in Shanghai.

Day 09: 18 Apr: Shanghai (B.L.D.) Enjoy breakfast at your hotel ahead of a stroll along the Nanjing Road and the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area, a sweeping area along the Huangpu River. Visit the Yuyuan Garden and the Old City God's Temple. Tonight, enjoy a buffet dinner at BRAZAIL BBQ restaurant on Nanjing Road. Day 10,:19 Apr: Shanghai Beijing (B.L.D) This morning, we will be transferred to the train station. We will take a high speed train to Beijing, the capital of China. Our local tour guide will take us on a Hutong tour to Beijing Old Town Tonight we will enjoy a famous Peking Duck. Stay overnight in Beijing. Day 11: 20 Apr: Beijing (B.L.D.) Start your day with a city tour including a visit to the Forbidden City. Next stop is the Temple of Heaven, which was used to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times. Enjoy the famous Kung Fu (Martial Art) show in the evening. Day 12: 21 Apr: Beijing (B.L.D.) The highlight today will be a trip to the astonishing Great Wall at Juyongguan Path. It is a symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the pride of the Chinese nation. Later we will visit the Sacred Path of Ming Tombs. Tonight we will have a buffet dinner in Yan Wei Die Tai buffet restaurant. Day 13: 22 Apr: Beijing: (B.L.D) This morning we will tour the Summer Palace, the largest ancient preserved garden in China. Also included today is a visit to Beijing Olympics Site including the Birds Nest and the Water Cube. Day 14: 23 Apr: BeijingQGuangzhou Q Brisbane (B.L) CZ323, 23 Apr Beijing Guangzhou, 1430/1745 CZ381, 23 Apr. Guangzhou Brisbane, 2115/0825 (24 Apr.) This morning you are free to explore Beijing at leisure. In the afternoon, our guide will take us to a local restaurant for your lunch. Before our transfer to the airport for our flights home. Day 15, 24 Apr: Australia Your unforgettable China tour ends upon arrival in Australia.

Seniors Holiday Terms of Trade and Schedule of Fees


Fees for Service Seniors Holiday Travel is a fully licenced accredited Travel Agent, and for your protection a member of The Travel Compensation Fund. In order for us to provide professional level of service and cover the costs of arranging your travel requirements, we charge various fees for service. The amount charge will depend on the service provided. Prices Schedules and availability, fare conditions and prices can change at any time. Price changes may occur for reason of matters outside our control which increase the cost of the products or service. Such factors include adverse currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes and airfare increases. Deposits Seniors Holiday Travel requires a booking deposit which is charged per person and deducted from your final balance. The deposit is non-refundable if you should cancel. Additional deposits may be required by Travel Suppliers and other Service Providers. Upon cancellation, the deposit is forfeited however in certain cases, it may be held in our Trust Account for 12 months from the date of cancellation and if not utilised within that period, it will be deemed as cancellation of a booking and forfeited. Payments All prices are based on payment by cash or cheque. Credit card surcharges of 2% for Visa and Mastercard and 3% for Diners or American Express Card apply if you elect to use them for payment. You can also opt to make direct deposits into our nominated bank account which takes 24 hours to be processed into our account. If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against that provider, and not against Seniors Holiday Travel. Cancellations, Refunds & Amendments Cancellation must be made in writing and all tickets issued must be returned together with the cancellation of notice. Travel Service suppliers may charge cancellation fees and/or amendment fees. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking. Fees and extra charges will apply where a booking is changed. Fees and extra charges will also apply when tickets or documents are re -issued. Where we incur any liability for a cancellation fee or charged for any booking you cancel, you agree to indemnify us for the amount of the fee or charge. If you cancel before full payment a cancellation fee equal to your deposit will be charged. After final payment, Seniors Holiday Travel will charge a cancellation fee equal to 10% of full booking in addition to fees charged by suppliers plus loss of deposit paid. Health You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel and that you are able to participate in the activities included in your itinerary. If you are unsure about your fitness to travel, please check with your GP or specialist clinic. Travel Insurance Travel Insurance is highly recommended for all travellers. Please ensure you take note of the special inclusions and exclusions as they may relate to your particular circumstances. Pre-existing Medical conditions and cover for these are approved or rejected by the Insurer. If you have taken out another Travel Insurance Policy or believe you have adequate cover from a credit card policy we will require a photocopy and details of the insurance cover that you hold. If you choose not to take out Travel Insurance, please complete the appropriate section on the booking form. Please note that if you have insurance from another source and subsequently require our assistance in processing an insurance claim, this will incur a fee as stated in the Seniors Holiday Travel schedule of fees on the next page. Travel Documentation Travel documents include (without limitation) airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other documentation used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including being non-refundable, non-changeable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. These documents cannot be transferred to another person to use. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/ photo id holder. An incorrect name on a booking may result in an inability to use that booking and it may be cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility if not advised at time of booking. As a general rule, your travel documents are issued by the service providers two weeks prior to departure. Third Party Suppliers Seniors Holiday Travel, as a licensed travel agent, acts only as an agent for services supplied on behalf of third parties such as airlines, cruise lines and hotel operators. Each supplier operates under their own terms and conditions. By booking services with a supplier you are subject to their own terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure you are familiar with these terms. If you require further information about third party suppliers terms and conditions, please ask your travel consultant. Privacy Statement Your contact information will be required by third party suppliers to accept and confirm a booking. Privacy Law safeguards your personal details from being distributed for marketing purposes. Your information may be used by Seniors Holiday Travel for the purpose of relaying travel related information or about you to third parties.
