Ever wondered why an exalted or a benefic planet dasas period sometimes gives difficulties. Thats impossible you say, ready to disown astrology. Wait a minute. Did you check the birth tithi? For example take Aquarius ascendant. The 9th house planet is Venus, a yogakaraka and hence gives good results during its dasa bhukti period. If the native was born on the 12th tithi (Dwadasi) then that house and the planet becomes a zero rasi and a zero planet and hence the good results are reduced. Your birth-tithi could play spoil sport if your ascendant and tithi match the chart in this article. Good houses and strong planets get bad and weak. What is a Tithi? This is a lunar day. A tithi is shorter than a solar day. There are 30 tithis in a lunar month 15 during the bright half known as Shukla paksha and 15 during the dark half known as Krishna Paksha. Now we reveal how tithi acts predominantly in the evaluation of the merits of horoscope. For one born in a tithi some signs become useless. In Sanskrit it is called Dagdha rasi, meaning burnt rasi. For easy understanding i call it zero rasi. The 14 tithis and the 30 zero rasis are given as under :Thithi 1. Pradhama 2. Dwithiya 3. Thrithiya 4. Chaturthi 5. Panchami 6. Shasti 7. Sapthami 8. Astami 9. Navami 10. Dasami 11. Ekadasi 12. Dwadasi 13. Thaayodashi 14. Chaturdasi Zero Basis Libra / Capncorn Sagittarius / Pisces Leo/Capricorn Taurus/Aquarius Gemini/Virgo Aries / Leo Cancer / Sagittarius Gemini/Virgo Leo / Scorpio Leo / Scorpio Sagittarius / Pisces Libra / Capricorn Taurus / Leo Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius
Now about the effects of lunar day or Tithi houses connoted by them, there Lords and planets in such houses lose their power, unless retrograde. That is why some predictions go wrong. Add onto the usual cannons of judgment the theory of zero houses and yoga and then predict. You will never fail. Exceptions When zero rasi planets are in 36 8 and 12 houses from ascendant. If they are in malefic houses or in conjunction with malefic planets or in retrograde position then they give good results. Even if the 3 6 8 and 12 house planets are in a zero rasi planet stars they do not give good effects. On the other hand if the 2,4,5 7, 9,10,11 house Lords are in the zero rasis stars they do not give good effects. lt is true that the quadrants, trikonas and benefic planets always do good. But it is not so if they come under ze ro rasi.
Consider an -Aries ascendant born on the 6th tithi. (MOVEABLE SIGN). Persons born in 6th tithi (shasti), Aries and Leo both become zero rasis. Therefore the lords of the houses, Mars and Sun become zero planets. Sun the 5th house Lord generally does good for Aries ascendant. Matters relating to the fifth bring prosperity, the native is endowed with intelligence, good children and political success. But this will not come true if Sun is in zero rasi. But if Sun is in debilitation or in the eight or twelfth houses, good things will occur to the native. The tenth house is the house of profession. Saturn owns this house. If it is in Dhanista star part 2, than the persons profession will not be up to the mark. If in the same Dhanista star part 2, the zero rasi planets Sun is there, the profession will be bright . For Aries ascendant, if the sixth Lord Mercury is situated in Dhanista part 2 then in the Mercury period the natives business will flourish .If Mars and Sun are in the 6 8 and 12 places from the ascendant then the natives brothers and sisters would have good effects. Consider a TAURUS ascendant born on the 6th tithi. (FIXED SIGN) If a person is born in SHASTI TITHI Aries and Leo both become zero PLANETS. For TAURUS ascendant, The 4th house planet is Sun. The 4th signifies mother, education, domestic comfort etc. If the 4th house planet Sun is in its own house, the benefits of the 4th house cannot be enjoyed by the native. Planets in Suns star will not give good effects either. COMMON HOUSES (Birth on the 14th tithi) Persons born on chaturthi, thel4 lunar day and having either, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces then the 4 angles that is 14 7 10 become the zero rasis. Any planets connected with them will during their periods give reduced effects. Planets in Jupiter and Mercury stars will not give good results also. Unless the zero planet is retrograde or with malefics.
On certain tithi, some signs have been said to be Dagdha. Dagdha means "burnt". Obviously, on beingburnt these become as if 'Zero'. Dagdha Rashi is called as 'Zero Sign' also. and gives negative results. Becomes For a person to born in a certain Tithi some signs become useless. They are called Dagdha (burnt ) Rashis or Zero Sign.
