Honeywell Compass OS Compatibility

This document provides compatibility information for Compass 2.0 OS with different versions of Windows. It states that Compass 2.0 is compatible with Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. However, on Windows 7 and 10, only around 200 panels are compatible without installing XP mode. Installing XP mode provides access to around 550 panels. It provides installation instructions and notes on using Compass 2.0 in a network.

On Windows 7 without XP Node, only the Compass 2.0.12 client should be installed. !n this configuration, you can
only access panels available in the 2.0.12 format (about 200 panels currently). !nstall XP Node to get access to all
panels (about 550 panels). Switch to XP Node before installing Compass 2.0.12. XP Node software can be

On Windows vista OS, you will have access only to panels converted to Compass 2.0.12 format (about 200 panels
currently). Nore panels will be converted in a phased, incremental manner as time goes on.
The Compass 2.0.12 installation can migrate the NS Access database to the new 32bit SQL Express during
StandardfServer installation. See the installation guide on the Compass 2.0.12 CD for more information.
To use Compass 2.0.12 in a network, use the F.*%(3%G3H.)GC)GI ,(&*%DD%*,"(, which installs the Compass
database, on the PC to be used as the Server" then do the Client installation on all other PCs which will access this
database over the network.
Use the Database Nanagement Utility, located at .*%G*JK9G"LG%#&JK!"#$%&& 2,(3"4& M"4(D"%3)G
