Executive Summary
This report addresses the fact that the technology is changing day to day and is really helping out
the customer by way of e services. In the eatery industries the restaurants are really using this
high definition technology like Kiosk enabled with the internet supported working ability. The
aim of this high definition system or interface is to provide good and efficient services to the
customer and build its utilization and profitability. This idea of kiosk is going to work on the e
service. It has been observed that there are some poor state of e-customer service, and the fact
that many organizations are not fulfilling customers expectations when it comes to the delivery
of e-customer service. It is thus important to understand the factors that customers use to
evaluate e-customer services, such as the ease of use of the technology and the support provided
by eatery industries to help consumer use the technology. So, the advantages and disadvantages
of e-customer service which are duly considered from the industry and customer point of view
The industry should not use such a e service which relates to increase its work to surplus thus the
focus should be to satisfy the client by using such technology. The technology should be used in
such a way that it provides exceptional customer service. The Kiosk machine is endorsed and
provides e customer service (Burress 2000).
Customer focus for the Business
Customer services are a set of services which has been characterized in such a way that it has
replaced the service from the person providing it. Thus, the focus has been on the interactional
situation between customers and the service personnel. It has been observed that more and more,
technology is changing the nature of services and the ways in which eatery industry interact with
their customers. Organizations are increasingly using the technologies such as the kiosk set up
machines to offer customer service with the aim of improving the efficiency and quality of
service delivery. Customers today frequently encounter situations where some component of the
service they wish to access requires interaction with technology. E-customer service is defined as
the provisional customer service over electronic network support. In this report the e customer
service plays a very important role with providing with help of the kiosk machine set up by the
restaurant Happy To Eat just to provide a service to its customer which totally different with

the services and practice been followed within this eatery industry. The report will discussing
upon the important credentials of the high definition technology which is internet network
supportable and leads to the save the time of the customer as well the management of the
restaurant happy to eat. The go through of the this interface application will be divide into
design, info of the system, supported by, backup memory, storage of the data or the customer
orders, linkage to the kitchen and automated cash or credit delivery. These important features
will help us knowing the system which is helping the restaurant business of Happy to Eat
(Walker 2002).
The Happy to Eat is a restaurants which cater all types of junk food like pizza, burger, patties,
cream rolls, rolls, French fries, shakes, aerated drinks etc. This restaurants is catering the
customer of all age groups. The restaurants is having around 50 to 250 sitting arrangement and
also providing the take away orders to its clients. The restaurants main aim or vision is that by
the usage of this particular kiosk the client should be happy with the kind of e service the
restaurants is providing. By the help of the kiosk the system will be saving the data of the
customer and when next time the customer selects the particular code assigned by the machine
will make the option as personalized one for the customer. So it is saving the time of the
customer. And if the service is been provided by the machine then the problem is solved and
reduction of manpower is done as the waiter need not collect the orders from the customers
individually. This will save the time and the cost spend on paying the salary to the waiters. The
kiosk machine is been connected with the kitchen as well as the digital meter placed for looking
at the order number. In this restaurant there will be no waitress who will be taking the orders of
the clients as all of the work will be done by the Kiosk except for delivery of the order. Once the
code is arrived for the customer then the customer need to go to the delivery counter placed just
to collect the order (Walsh 2002).

Features and characteristic enabled in this interface and how it works
and technical know how
The kiosk is a machine wherein the person or the customer gets all the details in just one touch.
All the information about the machine is been stored into Kiosk and it provides the data which is
stored into it. It has been observed that this technology is really important and useful in term of
providing the data to the customer or information needed. This business of eatery will be using
the Kiosk to promote and provide the e service to the customer. The kiosk is enabled as a touch
screen sensitive machine. The customer can get food with only one touch. The kiosk is self
efficient of taking the orders from the customer. The customer does not need to approach to the
cash counter for the payment of the order, this machine accept the cash, credit cards and debit
cards which can be swiped in the kiosk and payment of their respective orders are done. The
machine is set up in such a way that coin are not accepted and folded notes also not. Once the
customer swipes the card the code is been assigned to the order placed by the customer and auto
mated slip is been withdraw from the kiosk machine. The procedure will be that the customer
need to select the order what he wants and once he is coded with the order number he will
receive the time which will be taken in order to prepare the order. Then a automated receipt will
come out which will show his coupon number. Firstly a consumer before entering into the
restaurant will need to go through the menu which will pop up an option of Right here or take
ways, one the consumer has selected the option of the delivery tie then can see the menu which
contains to two option one is combo meals wherein he can get discount (meal for 2 or more) or
say regular order. After selecting this particular ways he can see the entire the Menu card and can
select what he wants, once he is done with the selection of food, he will receive an option of
payment, whether he wants to pay by credit card or some card or by cash. The machinery is very
user friendly as if the order is not available it wont accept the payment and show an error. Lets
go about this machine, the kiosk is connected directly to the kitchen. This Kiosk system software
addresses security has been done in such a way that hacking of the data cannot be done easily
and its features cannot be easily be hacked. This kiosk has soft ware which prevents the user to
access to the desktop files. This type of security can be difficult because standard print dialogs

allow the content to be printed to a file and enable the user access to the file system. This kiosk is
not bearded with the keyboard option as the most [problem arrive because of it as the sequence
of keyboard works majorly on Control-Alt-Delete. In this kiosk is component carry browser-
based on Internet , the standard browser menus which are disabled because these provide too
much configuration control to the user. This kiosk also helps in preventing the user from
accessing URLs not applicable to the function of the kiosk. This can be done by the way of
hiding the address bar and incorporating domain and page blocking into the kiosk system
software or browser locked software system (Walsh 2002).
This Kiosk software has options also an option for adding of more popup and option that may
not even be using kiosk hardware. PCs also can be configured to run in this kiosk mode, which
prevents users from accessing certain system functions. This may not be appropriate for all uses,
since running in kiosk mode may not give deplorers the amount of control they need for their
final end product configuration. Additional kiosk system software can be used to secure the
kiosk or PC instead. Thus the above information relates that this kiosk is powerful in storing
three data and information of the restaurants and also hackers cannot break its software system
(Walker 2002).
Objectives of the interface
The Kiosk is made in such a way that there are many help screen and prompt which does
not confuse the customer and the option of delete commandis less and limited. The screen
layout of this kiosk is done in such a way that color matches the menu card and customer
focus is directly attracted to the menu card which is inserted in the kiosk.
The options of voice command is not updated in the system as people have different
pronunciation and system is not able to recognize there voice and work suitably. The
system is adopted with many features by way the customer is able to look in for the offers
and avails the discount voucher for next time also.
This particular kiosk provides a well commenced feedback system and well informative
system. The feedback can be of the information saved in the kiosk and also of usage of

the menu, service of the restaurant Happy to Eat. In this system there is option where
customer can file in for feedback of the service or any particular item which was best or
worst, so that the restaurant gets an opportunity to work on the failures of the service.
The options in this kiosk are reversible like if customer has ordered for a pizza and latter
he remembers that he wants a coke along with it than he can reverse the order and change
it by his suitability.
There are some customers which are very kiosk savvy and they want that there order
should be quickly be accepted in this machine. Relation is that this kiosk is made with
Dual compressor and i7 component which is also used in product of apple world known
brand so that the order of the customer is easily accepted by the kiosk (Swartzlander
2004).

Conclusion
Not every kiosk is perfect. There are some little problem which ,may occur while installation of
this kiosk as this is touch screen kiosk and is little sensitive. The other problem can be that there
should be proper back up or else the system will be rebooted. The Kiosk which is placed at a
place where it is centrally air conditioned as this a proper machine leaves heats and needs place
which is very cool. The problems which are described are not very huge as these problem are
with all electronic gadgets. But along with this there are many happy go advantages. This kiosk
has 1000 features which can be used in restaurant business. Has Camera option in so that no theft
can be done as the machine will hold money in it which will be transacted by the consumer. The
kiosk has led lights in which will not disturb the customer vision and wont be problematic. By
use of this technology Happy to Eat can become the most convenient restaurant foe both having
food there or take away and use of this technology will of big time use (Reichheld 2000).
