Stair Design

This document provides calculations for the design of a helical staircase. It includes inputs such as the inner and outer radii, height between floors, tread size, and material properties. Calculations are shown for the dead and live loads, total loading, radius of the loading centerline, slope of the helix, and design coefficients. Moments, forces, shears, and reinforcement requirements are determined for various angles around the helix. Reinforcement is designed for vertical moment, lateral moment, and shear. Four 12mm diameter bars are specified for lateral moment reinforcement for each tread.
