    AIPMT 2014 Cutoff Marks:
    AIPMT 2014 Cutoff - The Cutoff score of AIPMT 2014 entrance exam has been declared by CBSE.
    AIPMT 2014 Cutoff is a predetermined minimal score which is required for admission in 15% of
    undergraduate Medical and Dental course seats in Government Medical and Dental Colleges across
    India, except Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

    CBSE has also released category-wise all India merit list and cut-off for admission to MBBS seats under
    its 15 % All India quota. According to Medical Council of India (MCI), there are total of 21, 373 MBBS
    seats in Government Medical colleges across India excluding Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
    The 15% of these MBBS seats will be filled on the basis of AIPMT 2014 merit.
    The Central Board of Secondary Education is pleased to declare the result of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-
    Dental Test2014held on 04.05.2014 (Sunday). Among registered Candidates, a total of 579707
    candidates were eligible to appear in the AIPMT-2014 and 523701Candidates appeared in the test. The
    test was conducted at 929 Examination centres located in 50 cities including one abroad.

    46271 candidates have qualified the test for counseling for admission in Medical/Dental colleges on the
    basis of the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India

    18115 candidates have qualified for 15% All India Quota Seats out of which 9716 numbers are Male
    Candidates and 8399 numbers are Female Candidates.

    The Cabinet cleared a proposal to create 10,000 new MBBS seats in government medical colleges. At
    present, there are around 22,500 MBBS seats in government colleges.

    There are 381 medical colleges - both government and private in the country with around 50,000
    MBBS seats registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI). The proposal is aimed at increasing the
    number of doctors to reduce the doctor-patient ratio from the current 1:2000 to 1:1000. This is also likely
    to increase availability of doctors in the hinterland where people have to travel long distances to get
    medical treatment.
