    After nursing
    interventions
    the family will
    be able to take
    appropriate
    actions to lower
    the risk of
    dengue in their
    home.

    After nursing
    interventions, the
    family, specifically the
    couple, will be able to
    take steps in
    preventing dengue:

    a. Can explain what
    dengue is all about
    b. Will be able to
    determine that
    dengue is a
    dangerous health
    risk to their family
    and the community
    c. Can determine
    possible breeding
    sites of
    mosquitoes
    d. Will decide to
    practice the
    cleaning up of
    possible breeding
    sites of
    mosquitoes in and
    near their home.

    1. Provide the family with
    information on what
    dengue is all about.
    2. Discuss with the family the
    risks of acquiring dengue
    and the possible vector
    sites situated in and
    around their home.
    3. Provide information
    appropriate interventions
    regarding dengue
    prevention.
    4. Discuss with the family the
    importance of allotment of
    time in cleaning of vector
    sites at least once a week.
    5. Plan with the family
    cleanup of possible
    breeding grounds and how
    often must they be
    cleaned according to
    location.
    6. Continuous follow up on
    increase/decrease of risk
    of dengue and if member
    has been infected.
