Integration Overview
Quests Stat for Oracle E-Business Suite Version 5.5.5 enables project team members to
successfully manage changes to their Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 applications, from initial
implementation through ongoing enhancements and upgrades. This is accomplished through
patch automation, impact analysis, version control, object/file locking, automated workflow,
migration management, and powerful reporting and auditing capabilities.
Stat tracks changes from start to finish through a Change/Service Request (CSR), which
captures what has been done, when and why it was done, who did it, and what still needs to
be done for a specific change. All database objects and files associated with a CSR are
versioned and captured in the Stat database.
The Stat database becomes a central knowledge repository for all enhancement-, upgrade-,
and issue-resolution information. Stat enables teams to manage all changes for complex
projects from one central location, providing an easy way to assemble and track a variety of
activities for implementation, enhancement, and upgrade projects. Stats workflow
streamlines and controls all change activities.
Integration Details
Stat integrates with Oracle E-Business Suites command line interface at the server-to-server
level, so the integration between Stat and Oracle E-Business Suite is nonintrusive and
nondestructive.

Patch management. Stat automates the AutoPatch process. Users can run a patch
analysis from within Stat and also review prerequisite and deployment requirements.
Prior to the deployment process, Stat also takes an environment snapshot and versions
it in case there is a need to roll back to the applications previous state. Users can also
schedule patches to be applied immediately or at a future time.

Impact analysis. Stat identifies the impact that object modifications and patches have
on other objects. Stat can analyze and lock multiple objects in one pass across the entire
migration path so you can easily determine all the impacted objects to a proposed
change. In addition to determining the line-by-line impact of a change, Stat provides
support for comparing Oracle forms (FMB), Oracle form library (PLL) , and Oracle
report (RDF) files.

Object management. Stat provides complete control over both Oracle
E-Business Suite setups and application files. Stat can track all customizations to the
application, ensuring the objects are protected during upgrades and patches. Stat also
provides the ability to compare both setup and develop objects, improving the visibility
into what has changed and comparing the differences between changes.

Migration management. Stat manages the automatic migration of Oracle
E-Business Suite setups and application files across the development and production
environments while creating a real-time, permanent audit trail that includes which user
performed the migration, the source and target databases, the date and time, and the
objects and files that were migrated. Stat also allows a team to easily roll back a
migration or change across a single environment or across all environments.
