The Admission to different M. Tech Programmes at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela through
CCMT - 2014 (Centralized Counselling for M. Tech/M. Plan conducted by MNIT Jaipur will be held
between 15
th
July, 2014 (Tuesday) & 18
th
July, 2014 (Friday).

For the same, Candidates who are allotted NIT Rourkela are advised to fill necessary details at NIT
Rourkela online portal: http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in. Candidates who are allotted NIT Rourkela
are required to report physically and take admission at NIT Rourkela as per the following schedule:

Admission Procedure:
For admission, candidates are required to bring the following documents in ORIGINAL with a
photocopy (attestation not required) of each.

Printout of the Online Enrollment form & Address Slips obtained from
http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in
2.
Provisional admission letter in original received from the Reporting Centre [Original will be
retained]
3. Print out of the latest allotment letter from CCMT, [Original will be retained]
4. GATE Score Card in Original [Original will be retained]
5.
Pass Certificate of High School Certificate Examination / Equivalent Examination for proof of date
of birth [Original + 1 photocopy, Original will be returned]
6. Pass Certificate of Qualifying Examination [Original will be retained]
7.
Memorandum of Marks of all Examinations starting from HSC onwards (Candidates whose results
are awaited will be given provisional admission at their own risk and must produce the qualifying
marks and certificates by 30

September 2014 failing which their admission will be cancelled
and all fees paid will be forfeited. This time-extension will be given only for submission of
qualifying degree marks and certificates whose result is awaiting and not for any other
certificates)

9. College Leaving/ Migration Certificate from the Institution last attended

Rs. 45, 500/- (for SC/ST Rs. 10, 500/-) in the shape of Demand draft in favour of Director, NIT
Rourkela payable in any bank at Rourkela [excluding Rs. 10, 000/- paid through CCMT 2014 at
MNIT, Jaipur]
Mess Advance:
Rs. 22, 000/- in the shape of Demand draft in favour of Chief Warden of Halls, NIT
Rourkela payable in any bank at Rourkela


Please note that NIT, Rourkela is a fully residential Institute and permission to stay outside is granted
only in rare cases. Permission from Dean (Academic) needs to be obtained for the purpose of staying
outside a hostel. Dean (Academic) should be convinced about the genuineness of the need as well as
about the facility available for pursuing studies in the alternative accommodation. Permission to stay
outside the hostel may be granted after a student has been admitted to a hall and paid all starting
dues. Students permitted to stay outside will not be allotted a room, nor will they be required to pay
mess dues in future. Their mess advance will be refunded after adjustment of dues if any (e.g.
establishment fee, special functions etc.). It may be noted that such students need to pay hostel seat
rent, establishment fee and fees for special functions every semester till completion of their
programme.

Before coming for the admission, the candidate must ensure that he/she is fulfilling all
eligibility criteria for admission as per our advertisement. The Institute will not be held
liable for any discrepancies arising in future and reserves the right to cancel the
selection/admission.

Location:
NIT Rourkela is around 8 kms away from the railway station. Applicants may hire an auto and reach
the Institute. The minimum auto fare is Rs. 100/-.

Accommodation:
NIT Rourkela is having Two Guest Houses (South Block and North Block) with limited number of
rooms. Accommodation will be provided as per availability on payment basis. Interested applicants may

Refund Rule:
Once a student is admitted and if a student is removed or withdraws/leaves the Institute without
completing the entire programme, all fees paid including the caution deposit will be forfeited by the
Institute. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues, if any.

Information/Guidelines
1. ) Disability certificate shall be issued by Medical Board of at least three doctors duly constituted by the State or Central
government under PWD Act.(One of the members of the Board should be the specialist in the particular field for assessing
Locomotor, Visual disability, Hearing and Speech disability, Mental disorder and Leprosy cured)
2. ) If disability is likely to decrease (temporary type) then, the certificate should be valid up to September 15, 2011.
3. ) For candidature under physically challenged category, candidates only with a minimum of 40% disability is required
subject to the condition that the candidate is capable of carrying out all activities related to theory and practical work as
applicable to various programmes without any special concessions and exemptions.
