The Stromberg Check Chart is a general guide for servicing Stromberg


Carburetors for use as a ready reference by the bench man.
Some parts are difficult to check or at least it is difficult to be sure that
they are above question; on these we recommend replacement with new
parts rather than. taking a chance on spoiling an otherwise good job.
With this chart, the mechanic should refer to the catalog sheet on the
particular unit being serviced. First, the carburetor should be disassembled (plugs removed) and thoroughly cleaned in a good parts cleaner such
as Bendix Metalclene Then blowout thoroughly with air, using an air
nozzle that will direct the air into the various channels.
Proceed to check all items indicated in the Check Chart column headed
by the complaint which brought the customer in.
