IASAS Art & Music Housing

March 3 – 7, 2010
January 2010

Dear ISM Community Members,

ISM will be hosting students from Singapore American School, Jakarta International School, International School of Kuala Lumpur, Taipei
American School, and International School Bangkok for the IASAS Art & Music Convention. In order to put this event on we are required to
provide home stays for the guest delegates while they are in Manila. We are required to house 160 visiting students for this event. It is school
policy that students involved in ATAC sports/activities are willing to house a visiting student during IASAS. This policy will be strictly
enforced this year and all students will be expected to house. Teams will arrive Wed March 3 and students depart Sunday March 7.

Many of our students will be home stayed at other IASAS competitions during the year so this is a great opportunity to assist the school by provid-
ing accommodation for visiting delegates

Please detach the form below and return it to Fine Arts Office or ATAC office ASAP. We will contact you within three days before the event to
let you know all the details relating to pickup/drop off times etc, to make the event a fulfilling and successful one for our student delegates, and for
those from SAS, JIS, ISKL, ISB and TAS.

General guidelines/expectations for host families when housing for an IASAS event:
Pick up and drop off from and to school on arrival and departure days.
Transport to school each morning and transport home in the evenings each day of the event.
Provide a breakfast and snacks in evening. Visiting student should advise if they will require an evening meal. Some teams will have a team dinner or arranged
dinner one evening during their visit. Host families may only need to provide one evening meal.
Ensure there is parental supervision when visiting student is at your home each evening.
Expect to receive curfew calls from the visiting students coach around 10pm each evening.
Please note: submission of the form to house does not guarantee you will get a guest to host.

Thank you very much in anticipation of your support.

Regards,

Mark Pekin
ATAC Director

Calling all ISM Parents!!

International Family Fun

Day - ISM's annual PTA-
organized event to bring an
afternoon of FUN, enter-
tainment, and an incredible
international array of food
to all ISM families and fac-
ulty - is set for Saturday,
February 6th, 2-6 pm on the
MS Field.

To make the event a success

(and help ISM's Commu-
nity Service efforts), we
need MANY volunteers
willing to donate just one to
two hours of their time for
what really is a fun and
memorable afternoon. And
the first 50 volunteers who
sign up will be given a spe-
cial Family Fun Day tee-
shirt to commemorate the
special day!

Helping out is even more

fun since as a volunteer
you'll be an active part of
the memorable day - selling
items at the on-site "Sari-
Sari" store or coupons so
that kids can enjoy games
and yummy treats! Bring
your family, volunteer one
hour, and then spend the rest of the time enjoying all that Family Fun Day has to offer!

Please consider volunteering for Family Fun Day - we need YOU to make this a great day - and contact Janice
Powell (benpunky@yahoo.com), 0916-357-7720 or Sonali Hutchison (sonalidale@yahoo.com) to sign up to vol-
unteer or for more info. Thank you!!!!! "
