These computers are detrimental to my every instruction. My students have montly AR goals to prepare them for junior high, and without the everyday accessibilty to these computers, 48 this would cause major problems in my classroom. 49 nothing...the internet connection is too slow to be efficient 50 creating audio broadcasts for SC Radio club I use the computers in the classroom for many things such as AR tests, word processing, and educational games. I don't feel that just having a computer lab for all the students in the school to use (without having the permanent computers) will be sufficient. If our focus is to increase the use of technology in the classroom, then why would we be decreasing the amount of computers in the school? It doesn't seem to make sense. I think that having 51 computers for the students in the room is valuable and necessary. 52 indoor recess games 53 outdated iMacs; do not meet needs 54 MAP Testing, STAR Testing (Yes, we still like to use it here) 55 have used for students that need cowriter type programs AR, Keyskills, and Jumpstart 3rd grade are the only programs that can be used by second graders on the 3 student computers I have. They are not very useful, and could have more potential if they could run updated programs, if we had updated programs/CD's to run and if we had internet access. They could research on the internet, and there are awesome 56 independent learning sites, like PBS kids that could be used during centers. 57 word processing 58 Math games 59 research, practice and assessment 60 publishing, testing, research, 61 access to documents started in computer lab 62 Listening Center books on CD 63 math reinforcement 64 Lexia 65 Lab 66 Pix Writer; Read, Write, and Type 67 Math Centers 68 Math Centers 69 Individualized Instruction, all levels 70 Typing stories/paragraphs 71 games for indoor recess 72 research, practice and assessment 73 math 74 Math Centers 75 Lab Volt Modules 76 Type to Learn, Office, Research, 77 Students bring their own computers 78 Read 180 79 Technology 'I Can Statements" 80 math centers
