    Operating Manual for added functions

    in Fantom-X6/X7/X8 Audio Track Expansion Ver. 2.1


    Main features
    Newly added Solo with FX Sampling function
    The newly added Solo with FX Mode function lets you apply the
    internal MFX while sampling when you perform solo sampling.

    Newly added Audio


    Recording mode
    SOLO w/FX (solo with effects) has been added as a choice for the
    audio recording mode.

    Newly added Audio Recording mode


    Now you can also use Solo with FX Mode when recording an
    audio track. In addition, Audio Rec Channel now allows monaural
    recording as well.

    Support for motion dive .tokyo Console


    (V-LINK)
    The V-LINK screen now has added parameters for controlling the
    MD-P1, a dedicated console for the motion dive .tokyo Performance
    Package (MD-P1-S) VJ performance system.

    Newly added Piano mode specifically for


    SRX-12 Classic EPs
    A new dedicated Piano mode has been added to support the SRX12 Classic EPs expansion board, which contains high-quality
    sounds for popular electric pianos and clavi. If the SRX-12 is
    installed, the two screens Classic EP and Classic Clav will be
    added, allowing you to use a simple and intuitive graphic user
    interface to adjust the tone.

    For details on the dedicated SRX-12 piano mode, refer to the owners
    manual included with the SRX-12.

    Newly added Solo With FX


    Sampling function
    A Solo with FX (solo with effects) function has been added to
    Sampling Menu.

    Solo w/ FX
    This lets you record only the external input source while
    hearing the internal sound generator. When doing so, you can
    apply effects to the external audio input source.

    If the Recording mode is Solo w/ FX, you cant apply MFX (multieffects) to the internal sound generator.

    Audio Rec Channel added to the


    Audio Rec Standby screen
    When recording an audio track, you can now select either stereo or
    mono for the track to be recorded.
    MONO
    The audio will be recorded in mono.
    STEREO
    The audio will be recorded in stereo.

    Solo with FX Sampling: [F6 (Solo w/ FX)]


    This lets you sample only the external input source while
    hearing the internal sound generator. When doing so, you can
    apply effects to the external audio input source.

    Support for motion dive


    .tokyo Console (V-LINK)
    The V-LINK System screen has been modified to support motion
    dive .tokyo Console (MD-P1).

    Pro Edit
    The previous V-LINK parameters have been gathered into Pro Edit.
    You can use these parameters to set control changes on the DV-7PR
    or PR-80.

    Newly added [F6 (Clip Filter)]


    Transmit MIDI Channel
    Now you can specify three MIDI channels for use with the MD-P1.
    These correspond to the channels of the MD-P1 as follows.

    When you want to set Clip Filter parameters, press [F6 (Clip Filter)]
    to open the Clip Filter setting window.

    Note Tx Ch A: A channel
    Note Tx Ch B: B channel
    Note Tx Ch C: MIDI note Plug-in channel
    When using the MD-P1, you can control the effect of a channel
    by matching Ctrl Tx Ch to Note Tx Ch A or Note Tx Ch B.
    Use Note Tx Ch A to change the MIDI channel of the DV-7PR.

    Use Note Tx Ch A if you want to use the dynamic pads to switch clips
    as before.

    Controller
    You can assign V-LINK parameters to the REALTIME CONTROL
    knobs, ASSIGNABLE switches, and D Beam controller. Parameters
    preceded by an indication of MD: are MD-P1 parameters.
    Values
    OFF, Dissolve Time, Color Cb Ctrl, Color Cr Ctrl, Brightness Ctrl,
    VFX1 Ctrl, VFX2 Ctrl, VFX3 Ctrl, VFX4 Ctrl, Fade Ctrl,
    MD:ColorEQ Fore, MD:ColorEQ Back, MD:Scratch SW,
    MD:Speed Knob, MD:Total Fader, MD:Cross Fader,
    MD:BPM Sync SW, MD:Clip Loop SW, MD:Assign Knob,
    MD:Fade Time SW, MD:Visual Knob, MD:A/B Switch,
    MD:Tap Switch, MD:Total Select, MD:FX Select, MD:Play Pos,
    MD:LoopStartPos, MD:Loop End Pos, MD:LayerModeSel

    If you want to use the REALTIME CONTROL knobs to control VLINK parameters, turn V-LINK on and set the REALTIME
    CONTROL button to ASSIGNABLE.
    If you want to use the D Beam controller to control V-LINK
    parameters, turn V-LINK on and press the D Beam controller
    [ASSIGNABLE] button.
