With reference to this college earlier advertisement for the post of Assistant Professor published in
Employment News dated 15032014 and Hindustan times dated 4.03.2014. Pursuant to, and as per
directions ofthe Honble Supreme Court ofIndiain Civil Appeal No. 9096 of2013 (Arising outofSLP
(Civil No. 7541 of2009) Union ofIndia& Anr.Appellant(s)versusNational Federation ofBlind & Ors.
Respondent(s), and as per UGC letter no. F63/2014(SCT) dated 14 th March, 2014 for compliance
and strict implementation of the same, the backlog and reservation in respect of persons with
disabilities in teaching appointments is expected to be reworked out with effect from 1.1.1996.
However, keeping in view Resolution no. 193(3) dated 16.7.1994 of the Executive Council of
University of Delhi, this computation based on a 100 point vacancybased Roster, has been done
with effect from 16.7.1994. Accordingly the following changes/corrections/additions are hereby
notified in Advertisement No. SBSC/2015/1248 dated 15.03.2014 & 04.03.2014 by way of this
corrigendum.

EssentialQualificationfor thepostofAssistantProfessor
1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Persons with
Disability viz.physically and visually disabledorthosewho passedtheirMastersdegree priorto 1909
1991 and hold a Ph.D. Degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades
O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the Masters degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an
equivalentdegreefromaforeignUniversity.
2. Candidatesmust havequalifiedthe NationalEligibility Test(NET) conducted bytheUGC/CSIR or a similar
testaccreditedbytheUGC(State LevelEligibility Test)SLET/SET).
General Note:
1. Candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the University Grants
Commission (Minimum Standardsand procedure forawardsofM.Phil/Ph.D.degree),Regulations,2009
shallbeexemptedfromtherequirementoftheminimumeligibility condition ofNET/SLET/NET.
2. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Degree Programmes in disciplines for which
NET/SLET/SETaccreditedtestisnotconducted.

Note:

application and the originals must be produced at the time of interview and at the time of joining, if
selected.
2. The applications shall be shortlisted by a screening committee as per the University guidelines to be
called for interview before the selection committee.
