    As seen on page 6 of our Jan/Feb ‘08 issue, these hearts make


    a great adornment on Valentine’s Day cards, or as appliqués on
    anything! We made them here with Bamboo Wool, on a size H-
    8 hook, but you can craft them in any yarn and corresponding
    hook you wish!

    ch chain
    dc double crochet
    sc single crochet

    SKILL LEVEL: easy

    Ch 2.
    Row 1 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook—2 sc.
    Row 2 Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in each sc
    across—4 sc.
    Row 3 Ch 1, turn, sc in first 2 sc, 2 sc in
    next sc, sc in last sc—5 sc.
    Row 4 Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, 4 dc in
    next sc, sl st in next sc, 4 dc in next sc, sc
    in next sc—11 sts.
    Do not turn, pivot to work around lower
    edges of heart, work sc evenly spaced
    around lower edges of heart, working 2 sc
    in lower point; join with sl st in first sc of
    Row 4.
