A simple, easy to learn "How To" guide to better understand the Bible
and what God has to say to us.
Introduction
It is our purpose and call to provide Christians with the most
effective tools and the most effective means to better understand and apply
God’s Word into their lives!

This guide is designed to help you and your church get the most out of our
Lord’s most precious Word so you can be the best pastor or church leader as
you can be. By being filled with the Holy Spirit, being people of prayer and
trained to know and teach the Bible effectively: A powerful synergistic
combination!

This study series comes from years of careful Bible study, scholarly
research, inductive analyses, word studies, practice and application. In fact this
work is a product of over 20 years of practice, research and development; use it
wisely and powerfully to Know Him and to make Him known! We ask 4
fundamental questions, “What does the Bible say,” “What does it mean,” “How do
I become a changed person because of His Truth” and “How do I apply His Truth
to my life and His church?” These materials are designed cross-cultural as they
are Biblical based and God’s Word cuts though language, culture and time!

If you are wondering about the theology at Into Thy Word, we are
conservative and Biblical! We take a logical systematic approach to Scripture.
We add nothing to the Word that is not there, nor do we read into it what is not
there! We are conservative Reformed Evangelicals who hold to the inerrancy of
the Bible and the historic confessions of the Church! Please see our Statement of
Faith on the About Channel. Most of our people are in the Reformed Churches
while others are with Assemblies of God, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Calvary
Chapel, Non-Denominational, Charismatic, plus many more; we share a passion
for the Word and a heart for pastors!

Introduction on how to use the Into Thy Word Bible Studies:

These Bible studies are designed so that you can role out of bed and
teach yourself or other pastors and church leaders effective, proven and Biblical
ways to be better understand and teach the Bible! All the hard research and
exegetical work is done for you! This way you can spend more time in pastoring
your people and building your church. We designed these studies for you to be
better able to be taught how to better understand theology and His Word. As we
all are lifelong learners, whether you have your PHD or never graduated from
High School, God can and will use you powerfully and fully. The more He will use
you and the more power of your use will be directly dependent on how much
effort you put in to learn and grow in Him (John 3:5, 30; Gal. 2:20-21; Phil. 3:10-
14; 2 Tim. 3:10-4: 8). Into Thy Word is called by Christ to help you in this!

To use these curriculums, first read over the study, and look up the
Scriptural passages and be in prayer. Then you can preach, teach it as is, or put
it in your own words, add to it by the Scriptural examples, you can also add
illustrations for better understanding. The best illustrations are always from your
personal experiences where you are not being prideful with them pointing to
yourself; rather pointing to Christ! Your goal is helping others conform to Christ;
being what God has called you to be so you can model and teach what they
need to be. We do this by our example to acknowledge Christ as our LORD,
encouraging others and good teaching (Rom. 12; 1 Thess. 5:12-28)!

This series can also be used to develop your own training curriculum,
make the needed cultural modifications and translate it to glorify Him. They are
for the beginner and for the seasoned pastor. They can also be easily converted
into a sermon series, thus you can use them for your Bible study, sermons in
personal devotions, church and group use. See our online resources for more

Remember these resources are free for you! Most ministries only sell their
materials, we feel we are doing what God has called us too, by going ahead and
offering the best materials possible for free and seek support from those who can
for doing so. As these materials have cost us a tremendous amount of time,
effort and financial resources that have taken us years to develop for you! There
is no obligation but please consider supporting our ministry if you are able to do
so. At the very least, the most important thing you can do for us is to keep us in
prayer! That we can be more effective and receive the support to train Christians
to better know and server our Lord!

Feel free to copy and pass this CD around to any pastor who is overseas

and discipleship organization it is our call to train pastors and provide resources
to Christians and Church leaders all over the world. You and they may printout

Allow me to Introduce you to Into Thy Word Ministries

We are a small Mission organization with a call upon our hearts to bring
discipleship materials to Christians all over the world for free targeting pastors
who needs them. We do this here in America and overseas. We are dedicated to
coming along side you, to learn from you, to help empower you in teaching
people all over the world how to study the Bible in a simple, clear, and concise
way! We do this through seminars, researching needs and trends, missionary
efforts of training pastors, church leadership development, church growth
consulting, developing Biblically based curriculums, and our interactive website
resources and online Bible studies!

Into Thy Word Ministries was founded in 1988 with the start of our
seminars on How to do Inductive Bible Study, and the publication of a seminar
booklet, How to Study the Bible. This booklet was introduced in Russia a year
before the wall came down, starting our mission efforts of training pastors how to
study and teach the Bible effectively. Our booklet was published into a book in
2000, called Into Thy Word. (See the “How to Study the Bible” and “Resources”
channels on our Website for more information).
 We then started to train pastors and missionaries fulltime overseas in
1998 targeting Russia, China and now, India. We then incorporated as a pending
501.3 (c) ministry in 2001 (prior to that, we were a church-based ministry) at the
personal request of Billy Graham and Mission America founder, Paul Cedar. We
currently have Missionary teams in Russia and China as well as over 2000+
missionaries and pastors all over the globe who use our training curriculums and
materials to disciple other pastors.

Our endeavor is to open people’s minds and will to the wonder and
insights of Scripture. The Puritans of early America (1550 – 1700) were brand
new to the Bible, thus they had to escape the persecution in England to be able
to read the new English Bible (Geneva translation), which was not available or
allowed before. Most Christians in America and many others all over the world
have lost the wonder and excitement that the Puritans had for the Bible and the
faith. That wonder and passion for His Word is what we all are called to have.
The Puritans sought out His Word, as they dug and dug because they had the
will, excitement and the education to do so. It is our purpose to give you the tools
to dig and discover God’s truths, so you can better understand and apply God’s
Word into your life and church. That way you can be filled with passion and
conviction to make disciples for God’s glory!

As a Mission organization, our vision is quite simple, to provide

discipleship materials and training to pastors and missionaries all over the world.
We started this endeavor to fill in the gap that exists in training and discipleship
between seminary and the pastor who is raised up in the field. We do this to
allow the other Christian mission organizations to do their targeting and
mobilizations and projects. We come along side and provide the tools and
resources for discipleship. We are not a sending or competing organization
(although we have missionaries and pastors that we work directly with all over
the world), but a Paraclete to come along side others and provide the needed
resources, encouragement and be a clearinghouse for other organizations’
discipleship tools too. So a pastor or missionary can be equipped with materials
to pass on and use to train their people in the field. We are also concerned for
the pastor and missionary that they are also being fed and are growing in the
Word and faith.

We feel discipleship is one of the essential key components in what is

missing in most churches. As you know most of the time, resources, efforts, and
the finances of the church goes into the facilities, payroll and just staying alive.
Then the focus becomes evangelism, which you seem to be blessed at! Then
after evangelism most churches leave the people to find their growth in Christ on
their own! Then the new Christian becomes confused and uncertain, the Devil
comes in and they soon leave back to where they came! We were glad to see
discipleship as your attitude! But in most churches, in the process of doing
evangelism, the ball that tends to get dropped, which is the principle call and
purpose of the church is Discipleship!
 Currently we do about 70% of our training over the Web, We also provide
free “Pastors Training Packs CD’s” with thousands of pages of effective Biblical
instruction laid out in “bite size” lessons in a logical progressive way. We have a
large comprehensive Website with over 600 solid Biblical studies, curriculum and
articles in 20+ ministry categories/ channels and over 1,000 recourses and links!
Our site receives 2,500 to over 5,000 hits a day! All for you to use free of charge!
We even have a translation program to translate the entire Website or any
material into your language!

• We are a Bible-centered ministry that firmly believes in the inerrancy and

power of the Word. We are also Reformed in distinction, and Evangelical in
nature.

• PRAYER – Personal and professional. So the word gets out that learning how
to study the Bible is important. In Matthew 9:37, 38 Jesus said, "The harvest
is plenteous, but the laborers are few." We need dedicated missionaries to
teach Biblical exegetical methods to pastors in Russia. We also have many
other places of opportunity.

• GIVE - I am a missionary and ITW is a mission’s endeavor, I receive no

salary while carrying out Christ's Great Commandment and Great
Commission and this requires money. This requires money. With few
exceptions, most of us could give more for the Lord's work. We need to raise
support for our expenses in teaching people how to study the Bible. Your
financial gift will be the tool that God uses to keep this vital ministry going all
over the world, but it is your ongoing prayers that will give me the strength,

We have no secrets ways or even better ways; although after 20 years of

ongoing research I believe our 'Into Thy Word' Method of how to study the Bible
and our discipleship tools are the best ones out there. My goal is to promote His
Word, not myself or my book or even this ministry, we are here for you to help
you give Him the glory! Our Goal is to equip you to further the church and the
ministry our Lord Jesus Christ has entrusted to you!

Into Thy Word Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit (John 14:26-15:26). The Triune God has created
humanity in His own image and has called us to manifest and reflect
personal holiness through trust and obedience to His Word and
commandments. Because humanity has purposely and woefully fallen
from a perfect relationship of trust and obedience with God, man’s
response subsequently entered us into a state of moral corruption and
depravity, resulting in our exceedingly lost state; thus, it separated
and estranged us from our Creator (Rom 3:23; 19-26).

Because of the profound “agape” LOVE for His creation of humanity,

God has initiated a plan of redemption that He has accomplished on
our behalf through temporal history (His-story!) (Acts 4:12). The apex,
our redemption, is centered upon the historical incarnation of God in
the person and work of Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus to be the Christ
of Old Testament prophecy, being fully God and fully Man. We believe
in His virgin birth, His sinless life, and His miracles. Jesus, through His
replacement and substitutionary atoning death and bodily resurrection
(John 5:28-29), has provided the incredible, undeserving, meritorious
justification on our behalf, which is grace that we receive by faith alone
(1 Pet 1:18-19).

We believe in the ascension of the risen Christ, who has sent His Holy
Spirit to dwell in the hearts of all believers, effecting our regeneration
and operating in our sanctification and personal gifting (1 Cor 12-14).
The Holy Spirit has been given to empower us for service and bears
witness to the kingdom of God (Acts 2:38). The Holy Spirit has been
given to us to form a corporate community of believers. We believe
that Christ has established a visible church, which is called to live a life
of holiness by the power of the Holy Spirit, under the regulation and
authority of Holy Scripture, who guides the exercise of the church in
discipling, disciplining, administering the sacraments, and proclaiming
the Gospel of Christ.

We believe that the Bible is in its entirety, divine revelation, and the
only infallible, inerrant and authoritative word of God. We are to submit
to the authority of Holy Scripture, acknowledging it to be carrying the
full weight of God’s authority (2 Tim 3:16).

We are committed to the implementation of the social and cultural

implications of God’s commandments for humanity and His
environment. We believe our faith should be visible and a concrete
model of Christ in all that we do. We seek to be faithful disciples of
Christ our Lord, enduring in love and obedience until He consummates
His kingdom. We firmly adhere to the historical confessions of our faith,
such as the Westminster and Heidelberg Catechisms.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers through our Lord Jesus
Christ (Eph 4:3).

The above are fundamentals held by our confessing reformed and

evangelical theology. The following are essential to the Christian walk
of faith, in which we all strive to our fullest to obey and practice daily:

• A caring, effective love relationship with Jesus Christ.

• A lifestyle dedicated to obeying God’s will with joy.
• Daily devotional times, prayer, and study of God’s Word.
• A joyful love and willingness to serve our Lord, even through
personal sacrifice.
• A witness for Christ without hypocrisy.
• A firm desire to be God’s child, through trust and obedience.
• A working faith in God’s promises for all our needs and daily
situations.

We strive to maintain a fervent and dedicated spirit that remains faithful and

back. We are dedicated to serving the Lord and His church heartily and with
purpose.

A staff team is a special, God-planned family brought together for a purpose - His
purpose. Thus, we strive to respect, love, protect and support others in all ways

 SEVEN: Stay on Your Knees
We are committed to pray for God’s supernatural involvement in the life of our
church, in your family and mine, in our ministry and personal walks with Jesus.
Humble yourself before God and expect Him to do great things as you seek to
serve Him with all your might.

Pray as if all you do depends on God... and work as if it all depends on

you.
We strive to do this, living with the attitude of:

• Nothing to Prove, because peer pressure leads to distraction and death.

• Nothing to Hide, because Jesus paid our price. Thus, I do not need the
distractions such as pride, arrogance, gossip, lust and pornography. I give
my Lord my very best. Thus, I must confess sin.
• Nothing to Lose, because I cannot affect the world living in fear. I live
with God’s best in mind, by Christ’s character and precepts, as Paul lived,
with his dedication and focus, through despair and difficulty.

Richard Joseph Krejcir is the Director of “Into Thy Word Ministries,” a missions
and discipling ministry. He is the author of the book, Into Thy Word, and is also a
pastor, teacher, and speaker. He is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary in
Pasadena California (M.Div.) and currently pursuing his Ph.D. He has amounted
over 20 years of pastoral ministry experience, mostly in youth ministry, including
serving as a church growth consultant.
