Corrosion Damage Report (CDR)

This corrosion damage report documents pitting found on the external surface of a 2" 316L stainless steel pipe (MV-0851) used in a high pressure gas compression skid. The pitting was discovered during a routine inspection and is located on a purge connection with an unsupported bend. A handcuff type support is recommended to be fitted to prevent further vibration damage. Remedial work was carried out by Aker contractors and the integrity engineer recommends closing out the anomaly at the next inspection visit.
