    GB 20Mn2 steel
    20Mn2 steel has medium strength. The coldstraining plasticity of 20Mn2 steel is high, low temperature property is good, weldability and
    machinability are passable. And compared with carbon steel with corresponding carbon content, the quench-hardening ability of 20Mn2
    steel is higher. In oil the critical full hardening diameters are 4-15mm. But in heat treatment 20Mn2 steel has the tendency of
    overheating, decarburization sensitivity and temper brittleness. This kind of steel has an appropriate quench-hardening ability, after the
    suitable metal heat treatment, the microstructure of the body is the uniform sorbite ,bainite or superfine pearlite, thus it has the high
    tensile strength.
    GB 20Mn2 steels application
    20Mn2 steel is mainly used for making the carburized parts which dont have high demand on surface and section size < 50 mm in
    diameter, such as carburized small gear, small axis, low requirements piston pins, cross pin head, diesel engine sleeve, valve plunger
    mandril, gearbox joystick, steel bushing, etc of automobiles, tractors and in machine tools production. In addition, in the hot rolling and
    normalizing state 20Mn2 steel can also be used for manufacturing rivet welding parts, screw and nut etc.
