1. Structure of Syllabus of TE (2012 Course) The structure of Syllabus of TE


(2012 Course) is given below. This structure is subjected to periodic revision by
appropriate authorities of University of Pune.

2. Structure of Theory Examination


R2.1
The theory examination shall be conducted in two phases for all the subjects as In-Semester
theory exam and End-Semester Theory exam. The structure, detailing the time, mode,
Syllabus coverage, Max. Marks etc. is given below. This structure of examination shall be
followed by the regular candidates.

The detail examination schedule of examination shall be declared at the beginning of the
semester by the University of Pune.

3. Structure of Question Paper:

Three Units will be covered i.e. Unit Nos. 1, 2 & 3 for 30 marks for In semester Exam.
Equal weightage will be given to all units (10 marks each).

All the Six Units will be covered for 70 marks for End-semester Exam. 20 marks will be
the weightage for first 3 units and 50 marks will be the weightage for Units 4,5 and 6.
Question Paper will have only one section and five questions.

4. Conduct of Examination:
In-Semester Examination:
In-Semester examination shall be carried out at the concerned college as per University
schedule of examination program and the Question Paper will be made available by the
University to maintain the Uniformity. The head of the Institute shall be responsible for the
smooth conduct of the examination.
End-Semester examination:
End-Semester examination shall be carried out at the concerned college as per University
schedule of examination program and the Question Paper will be made available by the
University to maintain the Uniformity. The head of the Institute shall be responsible for the
smooth conduct of the examination.

5. Assessment
In-Semester Examination:

Assessment will be done at the CAP Center of the College by the Expert who is appointed as an
examiner for the subject as per 32/5 panel for the In-Semester exam.

End-Semester Examination:
Assessment will be done at the CAP Center by the Expert who is appointed as an examiner for the
subject as per 32/5 panel for the End-Semester exam.

RULES OF PASSING

Term Work:
R-6.1
To pass the term work / Practical / Oral the student has to earn Minimum of 40% marks in
each head.
Theory Examination:
R-6.2
To pass the Subject head the student has to earn minimum of 40 per cent marks in End-Semester
exam and 40 percent average marks (In-Semester marks + End-Semester marks).

R-6.3
The failing student can only appear for End-Semester exam only and the In-Semester exam marks
will be retained as it is.

R-6.4
Student can only apply for the revaluation/Photocopying of End-Semester exam only.
