FIRST WEEK
TUESDAY, 3rd OF NOVEMBER
Today the regular teacher of the group is ill so a supply teacher has
become.
First of all, she explains the consequences for good or bad behaviour:
Positive behaviour;
Stickers.
Marble in a jar.
Negative behaviour;
Name on the sad face table board.
Visit to the head teacher.
NAMES:
1. SPELLING
Students create their own word search with the words they have
written in their notebooks.
When they finish the word search they swap the word search
and the do it.
To change the lesson (while some students are finishing the task) the
teacher starts at the four in a row game on the smart board. They
play girls against boys.
2. MATHS
With their little white boards they practice the same activity in
groups. They use a dice to choose the number, and they all
have to get it. The first who finishes, wins a point.
Students create their own time table poster to review the time
tables.
(with this activity they are working on maths concepts at the
time as they are doing something creative and motivating for
them)
3. LITERACY
Teacher reads the first chapter of the story and ask questions to
check that the students are paying attention.
How many characters appears in the story? What are their
names?...
4. SCIENCE
1. MATHS
The whole class review the time tables with the teacher by
asking each other.
Individually Students do a worksheet in which they have to
break down digits into units.

During the last 15 minutes of the class students can relax and
do whatever they want. They have free time, so they can
choose to read a book, play with the computer, make a drawing,
...

In peers: they speak about the Native story (what they
know about it)
Students share ideas in big group about the story
(characters, facts, place, ...)
The teacher plays a power point with the story in French.
Students try to identify words that are similar in French
and English. Finally they try to translate the whole text
with the help of the teacher.

MONDAY, 9TH OF NOVEMBER

The class is divided into different groups and each of them do a
concrete activity related to reading.
Examples: read a story and do a drawing of it, create a comic
from a read story, act a story students have previously red...
The group, that has prepared the performance, shows it to
the rest of the class.
3. DRAMA LESSON
I have created a drama lesson plan for the 5 and 6 graders in
order to develop and experiment with their body language.

MONDAY, 16TH OF NOVEMBER

Students write a text with all the ideas taken from the
debate.
2. HISTORY
Brainstorming about why Romans invaded Great Britain.
Students read a text about Roman invasion and underline
the main ideas of it (facts, dates, ...)
Role play: students perform the first and second invasion
of Romans.
They write their own text about the Roman invasion;
When? Why? How? Who?
3. PHONICS : YEAR 1
Sound /r/
Repeat some words with the sound
Read words with the sound.
4. RELIGION
Warm up, All the students stand up. The teachers says the
name of two students and a multiplication the first that
gives the result can carry on standing up, the other has to
sit down. Only one student will win.
The whole class make some multiplications in the little
withe boards. When they finish they have to put it up and
show the result to the teacher.
Individually, they do a worksheet with different digit
multiplications depending on the level.
