Walls stone materials like adobe, marble, volcanic
tuff, granite slabs, bricks from clay
Wall finishes plastered bricks or plain plaster

Roof clay tile and nipa; later replaced by
galvanized iron sheets
Windows sliding panels with capiz shells or wooden
jalousies; smaller windows (ventanillas) beneath the
large windows are often with iron grilles
