Applications are invited for admission to Academic Programmes for the session 2016-17
Ph. D PROGRAMMES (FULL TIME & PART TIME):
The admission forms of Ph.D. Programmes in Planning
and Architecture are available throughout the year on the
website of the School but the candidate shall be admitted
twice in a year i.e. in August & January to coincide with
commencement of Autumn and Winter semester
respectively. The application form must be submitted
along with DD of Rs.1,000 drawn in favour of School of
Planning and Architecture, payable at Vijayawada.

MASTER'S PROGRAMMES / COURSES IN: Two Years (Full Time only)

Marks/Grades Eligibility:
Aggregate 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA out of 10 scale for
unreserved/OBC categories and 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA out of
10 scale for SC/ST/PH categories.
General Instructions:
Application fee for PG programme/Course is Rs.1,000/- for
unreserved/OBC categories and Rs.500/- for SC/ST categories
and can be paid electronically only. Short listed/eligible
candidates shall be notified on the Schools website and must
attend with original certificates & a set of self attested
photocopies and project work/portfolio etc. at the time of Test/
Interview. The School reserves the right to reject/cancel any
application without assigning any reason to the applicant.

1. ARCHITECTURE WITH SPECIALIZATION IN:


(a) SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE

PG Scholarships:
The scholarships @ Rs.12,400/- p.m. to GATE qualified
candidates will be paid to those who have valid Score card.

2. PLANNING WITH SPECIALIZATIONS IN:


(a) ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
(b) URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING

BACHELORS PROGRAMMES:

Seats and Eligibility:


1.Sustainable Architecture: (Total : 20 Seats)
(Through CCMT = 20 Seats)

All the Total 20 seats are through centralized counseling


for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Planning Admissions (i.e.CCMT2016) conducted by the National Institute of Technology,
Surathkal (see website: www.nitk.ac.in), only GATE
qualified candidates from B.Arch are eligible and have to
apply to CCMT - 2016.
However, B.Arch candidates without GATE qualification
can also apply directly to SPAV. They will be offered the
balance seats if any after CCMT counseling.
2. Environmental Planning and Management: (Total : 20 Seats)
(Through CCMT = 10 Seats ; Direct Admissions = 10 Seats)
3. Urban and Regional Planning: (Total : 20 Seats)
(Through CCMT = 10 Seats ; Direct Admissions = 10 Seats)

For the 10 seats of the above two courses offered through


centralized counseling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Planning
Admissions (i.e.CCMT -2016) conducted by the National
Institute of Technology, Surathkal (see website:
www.nitk.ac.in), only GATE qualified candidates from
B.Arch, B.Planning, B.E/B.Tech (Civil Engineering) and
M.Sc(Geography) are eligible and have to apply to
CCMT -2016.
For the remaining 10 seats of the above two courses
offered through Direct admissions candidates from
M.A(Geography)/ M.A(Economics)/ M.A(Sociology) and
also B.Arch, B.Planning, B.E/B.Tech (Civil Engineering)
and M.Sc(Geography) candidates without GATE
qualification are eligible and can apply directly to SPAV.

2. PLANNING

Admission to Bachelors Programme in Architecture and


Bachelors Programme in Planning will be made through JEE
(Mains) -2016.
FN/NRI/PIO:
Admission of Foreign National/Non Resident Indian and Person
of Indian Origin is made through DASA. Candidates desirous for
admission in UG may contact to DASA. As per COA guidelines,
students admitted under B.Arch. Course without clearing any aptitude
test in Architecture will not be eligible for Registration with COA.

Reservation of Seats:
Reservations for all the courses will be applicable for
SC/ST/OBC/PH, AP and Kashmiri Migrants etc.. as per rules of
the Government of India. For details please visit our website.
