NOTIFICATION FOR WEB BASED COUNSELING FOR ADMISSION INTO

POST-GRADUATE MEDICAL DEGREE / DIPLOMA COURSES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2016-17
FOR THE STATES OF ANDHRA PRADESH & TELANGANA

Dr. NTR UHS hereby notify that the web based counseling will be conducted for

admissions into Post-Graduate Medical Degree / Diploma Courses in colleges under

Dr.NTRUHS and colleges under KNRUHS for the year 2016-17.

All the candidates qualified Dr NTRUHSPGMET-2016 held on 28-02-2016 are

informed to attend at the following helpline centers in the States of Andhra Pradesh (under

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada) & Telangana (Under KNR University of
Health Sciences, Warangal) separately for verification of their original certificates. After

verification of certificates, the candidates shall exercise their options for a seat in PostGraduate Medical Degree / Diploma Courses as per the schedule given below:

Presidential order will be followed for UR seats in both the States of AP/TS. In this

regard the verification of certificates related to local status is must for the candidates who
want to be considered under UR quota in Dr. NTRUHS / KNRUHS.

Candidates have to get verification of certificates done for Andhra Pradesh and

Telangana States separately and give web options separately.

III. PH (PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED) SEATS:

BOARD
EXAMINATION
ALONGWITH
VERIFICATION OF ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES FOR QUALIFIED PHYSICALLY
CHALLANGED (PH) CANDIDATES

The candidates applied for admission under Physically Challenged (PH) category are
directed to attend for Medical Examination along with all original certificates and
Physically Challenged (PH) certificates and confirmation of status of disability as per
Government orders.
Only those candidates confirmed by the Medical Board constituted by University will
be eligible for selection against the seats reserved under Physically Challenged
quota. The candidates who fail to attend before the Medical Board will not be
considered under Physically Challenged quota for the academic year 2016-17.
The regulations of Medical Council of India shall be observed in making admissions of
differently abled (Physically Handicapped) candidates, according to which the
differently abled candidates with locomotary disorder of lower limbs between 50% to
70% will be considered first and if any seats are remaining unfilled, Candidates with
40% to 50% will be considered.

Processing Fee: Candidates have to pay to Dr. NTRUHS, Vijayawada a non-refundable

processing fee of Rs.2500/- for OC/BC Candidates and Rs.2000/- for
SC/ST Candidates by way of Cash at the time of verification of original
certificates. The processing fee is separate for Andhra Pradesh &
Telangana for both Service and Non-Service.
UNIVERSITY FEE: Candidates have to pay University fee as per norms of Dr.NTR
UHS (AP State) and KNR UHS (Telangana State) amount and
other details will be mentioned in the allotment letter issued to
candidates by Dr.NTR UHS/ KNR UHS.
ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES TO BE PRODUCED AT THE HELPLINE CENTERS:

Candidates attending for verification of certificates should submit the following

II. Candidates obtained MBBS Degree from outside the State of Andhra
Pradesh / Telangana, shall submit 10 years residence certificate of
father / mother /Spouse issued by Competent Authority indicating years
of residence and other relevant certificates if any in support of eligibility
for UR seats as per Presidential order.

III. Candidates obtained MBBS or equivalent Degree from outside India shall
produce 10 years residence certificate of father/mother/Spouse issued
by Competent Authority indicating years of residence and other relevant
certificates if any in support of eligibility for UR seats as per Presidential
order. They shall also produce Permanent Medical Registration Certificate
issued by State Medical Council / Medical Council of India.

j. Permanent Caste certificate in case of BC/SC/ST candidates issued through e

seva / Mee-seva.
k. Latest Service Certificate in respect of candidates claiming reservation under
Service Quota if applicable from the concerned authorities.
l. Latest Physically Challenged (PH) certificate in respect of candidates claiming
under Physically Challenged quota.
m. Discontinuation Certificate if applicable
n. Post Graduate Medical Degree/ Diploma certificate if applicable
o. Photo identity proof viz college ID/PAN card / Passport / Driving License / Voters
ID / Aadhar Card / UID
TUITION FEE:

The tuition fee is to be paid at respective Medical colleges. The tuition fee will be as

fixed by the respective State Governments.

The in-service candidates eligible under service quota and fulfilling the eligibility

criteria of remaining service as per G.O.Ms.No.122, HM & FW (E2) Department, dt.13-42006 shall attend the counseling with the latest service certificate (Original) issued by the
concerned Directorate for the year 2016-17.

Note:
I. The seat allocation will be done as per the procedure given in G.O.P.No.646, Education
(w) dept. Dt.10-07-1979 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education dept., Dt.1805-2009. The procedure for preparation of seat matrix and selection into PG broad
specialty in the competent authority quota will be as per G.O.Ms.No.43, HM&FW (E1)
Dept., dated 13-03-2013 as amended in G.O. Ms No.88 HM & FW (E1) Dept. 21-052014. Seats will be allocated separately for Non-Service and Service candidates.
II.

No candidate will be allowed without original certificates for the verification of

certificates.

III. Mere attending to the verification of certificates does not confer any right for a seat as
more number of candidates are called than the number of available seats.

IV. Only candidates shall appear for the verification of certificates in person as per
schedule notified. Proxies are not allowed.
V. Candidates attending for certificates verification shall pay separate processing fee for
Andhra Pradesh& Telangana for both Service and Non-Service.
VI. Admissions are made under Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences as per
GO.Ms.No.5, HM & FW (C1) Dept.Dt.9-2-2016 and Medical Council of India Lr.No.MCI34(1)(UG)(Gen)/2016-Med/171857, Dt.2-3-2016 and students are covered under
KNRUHS.
VII. All the Candidates attending for certificate verification shall bring two (2) sets of Xerox
copies of all the certificates.
