When we say Love, basically it is the most amazing thing, an unexplainable

feeling of joy, and an irresistible urge of care and attachment to someone or something.
But Love can be vague, equivocal, misleading. So how can we tell if one is of Genuine
Love?
1. Man is born to Love
Humans are social beings. In comparisons with animalia, humans are regarded
like the primates for their social qualities. But beyond any other creature, humans
are adept at utilizing systems of communication for self-expression, the
exchange of ideas, and organization, and as such have created complex social
structures composed of many cooperating and competing groups. Human
groups range from families to nations. Social interactions between humans have
established an extremely wide variety of values, social norms, and rituals, which
together form the basis of human society. Source: wikipedia
This is our distinguishing factors as Humans. We know how to love. We are
capable of feeling of love, anger, disgust, disappointments. We are of Higher
being than the animals. So we should utilize this capability in accordance to our
Creators own standard of love.
2. What is Love?
Love as defined by the Bible according to 1 corinthians 13 :4-8, Love is
patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does
not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no
record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It
always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never
fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues,
they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
LOVE is as it is written, It shows the true feeling of being IN A STATE OF
LOVE. Love is a feeling of endearment and attachment for the purpose of
upholding ones welfare rather than ones own interest. It means, Love is
attributable to being in a state of being unconditionally perceptive to ones needs,
and feelings.
When we talk about love, love is not only about boyfriend/girlfriend
relationship. It entails a very wide and very broad forms of love. It includes, love
for parents, love for work, love for a sense of purpose, love for God, Love for
material things. Etc.

3. Forms of Love
a. Erotic Love
You say, Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will
destroy them both. The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but
for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord
from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies
are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and
unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites
himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, The two will
become one flesh. But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in
spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are
outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do
you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you,
whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought
at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. -1 Corinthians 6:13-20
The question is why should love be pure and Christ Centered? As stated in
proverbs 4:23 watch over your heart with diligence, for from it flows the
spring of life

b. Godly Love
