    Method Statement For Tower Crane


    Height increasing
    Tower Crane Model: JL 5015, JL5515
    Tower crane mainly consist of Under Carriage, Mast, Climbing Frame, Slewing
    Mechanism, Slewing Tower Mast, Cat Head of tower, Jib Section, Counter Jib section,
    etc.
    Requirement of equipment: Hydra crane,
    Tools Required: 42mm spanner, 30mm spanner, Hammers, adjustable wrench,
    pliers, etc.
    Step 1: With the help of hydra crane place the masts near to the tower crane.

    FOR FURTHER ERECTION OF TOWER CRANE


    Step 1: turn the jib to the direction of guiding tower
    Step 2: Lift the mast section and place it over the mast introduction platform.
    Step 3: Lift the weight so as to balance the tower crane.
    Step 4: Loosen up the bolts joining mast and slewing mechanism.
    Step 5: Start operating the hydraulic pump station, climbing frame will start lifting
    up creating a empty space now push the mast section kept at platform into
    the empty space.
    Step 6: Tighten the bolts of slewing mechanism.
    Step 7: Repeat step 5 for required tower crane height.

    Safety Measures
    1. Barricade the surrounding area and do not allow any unauthorized
    persons.
    2. Allow only competent persons to erect.
    3. Ensure all the persons who are involving in erection are wearing full
    body harness or not.
    4. Initially check the hydraulic system is in working condition or not.
    5. Ensure that mechanical and safety personals are present at the work
    place.

    6. Make sure that emergency services are ready at site for any
    unexpected conditions.
    7. Ensure all hand tools , bolts , pins are fall protected.
