Install the TWDCUSB485 driver on your computer.
Step 2
Set the rotative selector on OTHER MULTI position.
Step 3
Plug the TWDCUSB485 converter to your computer.
Step 4
Use the polarization switch on the left side of the TSXCUSB485 converter
on OFF position.
If the converter is connected to another MODBUS product, check the
polarization.

3. HMI Application, example :
With Vijeo Designer software create a new project for the HMI XBTGT4330. Add an
equipment without using the IEC61131 syntax. In the equipment configuration screen, set
the MODBUS address of the slave (@1 in the example).

Place a trend curve to observe the evolution of the values.

Place two numeric displays, one to observe the process value and one to enter the set
value (Enable input mode, in the properties).
Place two lamps to display the alarms status.
Create four variables :
REG48_PV for the process value at the address 31001 and of type integer (read only
access)
REG48_SV for the set value at the address 41003 and of type integer (read / write access)
REG48_AL1 for the status of the alarm 1 at the address 10001 and of type bits (read only
access)
REG48_AL2 for the status of the alarm 2 at the address 10002 and of type bits (read only
access)
Note : The variables REG48_PV and REG48_SV must be included in a logging group.
Assign the variable REG48_PV and REG48_SV to the channels 1 and 2 of the trend
curve.
Assign the variable REG48_PV and REG48_SV to the corresponding numeric displays.
Assign the variable REG48_AL1 and REG48_AL2 to the corresponding lamps.

Forbidden to select Write in cycle mode.
Create a logging group and affect the variables PV and SV to this group. Adjust the
sampling period. The variables will be saved in SRAM and file.
Method #1 : adjust the hour of flushing the logging group. This parameter corresponds to
the time when the variables will be saved on the Compact Flash card.
Method #2 : create an internal variable as Boolean (SaveData in the example). Associate

this variable to a button. On the tab When Touch of the Switch Settings window chose
Script as operation. Edit a new script like shown below.

Create a security group with the right in Read/Write/Delete for the section Data manager
security. After, create a user associate to the security group.
Transfer the application to the HMI.

If the first method is used, wait the chosen hour was spent.
If the second one is used, push the button on the HMI to save the data on the CF card.
Open the software Vijeo-Designer Data Manager to update the data.
The updated file will have *.csv extension and it can be read by Microsoft Excel.
