    These words from Isaiah console us in the turmoil of our lives. Through water and fire, through darkness and disaster, there is a God Who cradles
    and comforts us. For He is our God and we are the people He loves. This is a very significant song for Fr. Manoling, because these lyrics were
    written by Mr. Pagsi, who was instrumental in the discovery of his vocation as a liturgical songwriter. Fr. Manoling was in first year high school
    when he had Mr. Pagsi as his mentor, and in the year that they met, they composed "Mariang Ina Ko" and "Gumising." 15 years after their last
    collaboration, in 1996, Mr. Pagsi sent Fr. Manoling the lyrics of "Huwag Kang Mangamba." Fr. Manoling was immediately moved. Many versions of
    the song were written and many months passed until Fr. Manoling was satisfied with his own work.
