Post-Listening Talk about childhood memories at Conversation

Stations. Follow these steps for setting up Conversation Stations:

Create Conversation Stations around the classroom by posting one or two

questions on the topic childhood on the wall at each station. You will
need at least half as many stations as you have students. Number the
stations so that students can keep track of where theyve been.

In pairs, students move about the classroom, stopping at the stations to

interact. (Students can stop at the stations in sequence, or they can move
to any open station.) The activity ends when students have stopped at
most of the stations.
Now answer these questions in pairs:

1)What is your earliest memory?

2)Did you have a happy childhood?

3)What did you like to do when you were a child?

4)What did you look like?

5)What was your favorite game?

a. Who did you play it with?
b. Who gave it to you?
c. When did you like to play it?

6)Who was your best friend?

a. How did you meet this friend?
b. What did you do together?
c. Do you still do things with this childhood friend?

7)At what age could you go places by yourself?

8)When you were a child, what did you want to grow up to be?

9)Did you used to eat anything or were you a picky eater?

10) What was your favorite toy when you were a child?
a. Who gave you this toy?
b. Did it have a name?

11) Where did you grow up? Did you move frequently? If so,
why?
12) How are you similar to your parents? How are you
different?

13) Did you have any nickname? What was it?

14) Were you afraid of anything? What?
